Although I do not understand too much about genetics, I can try to explain why the pea flowers and pods are purple. Pretty much, purple flowers accumulate anthocyanin pigment molecules but white flowers don’t. When breeding pea plants, the trait of white flowers is a recessive trait and purple flowers is a dominant one. This means that if left alone to breed, most plant’s flowers will turn purple through the generations. However, I actually have no clue how these purple plants would just pop up if your parents’ haven’t seen them before. Also, if you make a tea with the purple pea flowers and add lemon, the tea will turn from blue to purple! Edit: the purple pods turning green might be a sign that you have Victorian Purple Podded peas, which can turn green with age. But still, have no idea how if your previous pea pods were green. Edit 2: if these are snap peas, they could also be purple sugar snap peas which are a deep purple and can have green as well.

we have this little pond in the woods next to out house, and it's actually a vernal pool, so basically it dries up sometimes but is full other times, and there are little shrimp there called fairy shrimp and they look at you with little tiny eyes and they're super cute, and also there are a ton of peepers around. but the really cool thing is that when it dried out, there's these grasslike plants that I think are able to grow underwater and above water, and it looks so cool. Its like a clearing full of this grassy stuff and all around where the pond is there's moss and mushrooms and you can sometimes see frogs, and you can hear them all around you and it feels so magical and amazing. It makes me so happy to hear about other people's magical places : )

The place where I grew up was similar but in Finland. We had Fields with potatoes, peas, rasberries, strawberries, Flowers.... That place is gone now. My Childhood Home was sold when my grandparents died and our Fields are full of Houses now.

I live in the city now and I love it ! When I was growing up I was jealous of my city friends and their ability to hang out at a moments notice, use public transport/walk to malls, library, grocery etc (instead of it being this 45 minute trip there and back every time hehe) so I think grass is always greener on the other side ! I am so so lucky to have grown up there but I am legit SO THANKFUL I get to live in the city now 😅 and just truly so lucky to have the best of both worlds now! (Getting to visit when I want to but not live there), I hope you find the forest house of your dreams! 🥰❤️ or at least a nice place to hike in the meantime ❤️

Question: what do you do with your cats when you're away? Do you have a cat-sitter or do you take them to a friend's house to watch them? I'm thinking about getting a cat but I don't wanna leave them alone :(

Honestly I don’t go anywhere 😂 but if I did I would likely ask my neighbour to come check on them and feed them twice a day and play a bit ❤️ or bring them to my moms house for her to look after Either way should be fine! It will probably depend on your cats personality , for example my Lemon is a very independent lady , but Tuna is the neediest gal in the world ! If you travel a lot (or plan to) I would look into getting a trusted pet sitter 🥰 (friends parents and or siblings are usually great for this) ❤️
