In Australia, instead of Cricket, they have have local game called 'Footy' which if officially called Australian Football League (AFL). Its pre-dominantly played in Melbourne. Season lasts for 6 Months. They have parade for winning team in end. The craze is same for the game as you see for Cricket in India or even Asia.
