Rauha is pronounced in Finnish exactly as you tried to pronounce it, and therefore means peace. But I understand that it is a difficult word for an English speaker. Evening from Finland ❤

It doesn’t seem difficult to pronounce, it’s the letter combination “u” before “h” that is maybe unfamiliar. Rao-hah.

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but turn order shouldn't be that confusing round to round. It starts with whomever is in the lead then goes clockwise from there... even when scores change mid-round, you only need to know who is in the lead (or on top of the point stack if tied)

I checked the forums a bit to figure out whether 'Rauha' is just a coincidental faux-amis with Finnish 'rauha', 'peace', and apparently a card or something similar is called Taivas (sky/heaven) so I'm feeling confident in saying that rauha is pronounced "ROWhuh", row as in 'prow', not as in 'row'. Taivas is DYE-vuss/TYE-vuss, the t has no aspiration like English 't' does nor is it voiced like English 'd' is.

Sounds like some tokens/cards to denote turn order and pass amongst players between rounds would help things … (I will continue to cannabalize a mini Uno deck for use as player order cards if I pick up the game at some point as I don’t think this is a $45 game given the components.)

I played it last weekend and think it is unbalanced since Water is the only thing that scores so much at the income phase and the difference in points is alot if one persone has 5 and the lowest has 0. The unbalanced part also comes from the fact that water can also be multiplied and scored again and again (like the other ones) if it has spores on it and if you can get the 2 elements that multiply water with the dieties and the water animal. What do you think?

When you get a Deity, you instantly activate it, so even if it gets taken away on the same turn, you've still benefited from having it. It's all a question of timing with the Deities.

sometimes though when you happen to be 2nd player cos 1st player is on your right, and you see that the 3rd or 4th (who is not doing any worse than you in terms of points) has the same 2 symbols already aligned it hurts to see it going just before a "corner" phase, when keeping certain deities may mean 8+ points... That turn order depending on 1st player is a bit random. Everything else about the game I really enjoy. Spores are great but sometimes you only need 4 or 5 to score massively on your strengths!

Wendy........but if you get lots of spores on your cards, you'll be firing off those cards many times, particularly at the end if you've filled your board with all 9 spores. Endorphine Heaven! That's how you can get scores of 200+. Just noticed, Tom said the same thing.
