As an American Trucker, I haven't had the pleasure to drive any European trucks, but the reason I love scania older gens to current gen is because I love the style, design, look, love the interior and the layout of the dash. Horsepower options are amazing. Here the biggest stock motor Is Cummins at 605 HP, scania 770.. big difference..If scania came back to the states, I'd get one in a heartbeat. Especially a S series. Ps.. loved the vlog, very funny 😄

Must admit I do like driving the Scanias even though they’re not the ones I’d choose. Was with one company for a few months last year. We had a 20 plate rental that everyone wanted to drive. DAB radio and great speakers as you’ve said. Good feel driving it too and only R450 model. Hilarious vid Raul....😂

I think most of my guys at Chepstow prefer the Volvo FH LNG’s, especially after the old Scania’s R410s started having the gearbox bearings shatter randomly around 1mil miles, I even had one guy be unlucky enough for it to happen twice in my yard alone 😅😂

I had one of them scanias giving up about 2 years ago. Feet up and waited 2 hours for recovery. 3 miles from the yard 😄

i used to drive a Renault Midlum - it was a nice truck to drive. Best (little) truck I have driven so far is a Mercedes Atego. Currently have with regards to BIG trucks *class2* experienced MAN TG-M, Volvo FM Volvo FE (Its a renault in disguise) and Iveco Stralis / EuroCargo

I literally saw a Scania tailgaiting another truck yesterday giving him the full X-Rays Plus Speed camera treatment in lane 2 ... it caught my eye and my mind went wtf is that, it was so bright in daylight with the sun out and I had sunglasses on. My DAF was embaressed and prompty shut off the cruise control and the Bluetooth to my phone. I want a Scania 🚛 next.. some drivers would change jobs for an S500 🤔

Would setting cruise at 55 kmh in ETS2 for all the rural routes make sense? I keep getting surprised by these 40/50 kmh zones. That I roll through before I can even switch off cruise control. I'm getting too many speeding tickets.

I loved driving Scania's so much I moved to the County (Lan) it takes its name from - Skåne. (Scania is the English translation). Living there's a lot more relaxing than driving them on the roads these days! lol

Love the review about Lane 2. CanI ask, that system at the delivery place with your suzi being locked, does this mean can still run your truck engine for electric or night heater etc etc. Does this mean you can stay in your cab with your keys with you.

Scania or Volvo, I'll take either but soft spot for Volvo because of the cars. Just not DAF or MAN, drove a 21 plate 25 tonner the other day for work. Uncomfortable to be in and drive, drove worse than the Scania 63 plate tractor units they're still running with 800k+ km on them.

Scanias and Volvos are built to last as they are both constructed in Sweden and it can be some of the hardest roads in world!

Not entirely true. A lot of the production for both brands takes place outside of Sweden. A lot of Volvos are constructed in Belgium for example.
