I feel like a few years ago Shining's drama (Niklas's drama) was actaully good for the band, the edgy interviews, self harm, fake death, handing out razor blades etc. But now it just seems to take from the music a bit, or maybe that is just me not liking Varg Utan Flock much. This inter-band drama and complaning about £££ is so un black metal, and is just weak humans fucking each other over. I have started to see the Batushka drama like that also, making a big online fuss is ok in some ways (having something stolen from you isnt cool) But it also seems pathethic and against that evil, dark, hateful black metal ideology, and from what personal meaning I see in the art form of bm. And it's like the Gorgoroth drama with Ghaal, bringing in legal procedings just disrespcted the music. it was like shitting on Satan's altar, and washing it with holy water. It should be about the meaning, the music! Not the greed, of money or fame(black metal fame) but just the music, the expression. Although at leat in that Ghaal example, it was solved properly via the courts, rather than this Shining merch drama

I still love their music. Erradication of the condition might be my favorite black metal song and the eerie cold is among my favorite records of all time. I do get this is not what 90's black metal was but have you seen other artists profiles, lives and actions on social media? The guys from dark funeral, nergal or satyr for instance, they live a not to 90's black metal lives if you ask me but then again I don't think it matters as long as the music is original and good. Maybe he should have taken this straight to court and evade this social media nonsense. Anyhow, not fulfilling purchase orders from your fans is probably the worst thing you could do for your business. I have never ordered anything from their site because shipping costs from Sweden to Mexico are just ridiculous. I traveled to Stockholm last year to catch their show and I stock up on merch that day haha. Dude I really wanted to see an interview of you and niklas in the future as I love your interviewing style and I'm pretty sure that would have been a good one but I guess after this that's not happening. Honestly, although Shining made some good albums, that kind of drama is a complete deal-breaker. Sometimes, if you are a cool band that feels threatened by financial issues, the fans would go and try to support you with some merchandise. I've been a fan of Shining since the early years, and have even had the pleasure of interviewing the man himself. Having been in the scene now for most of my life as of recent I too have been on contact with people who know of this issue and more. And needless to say the individual who you speak of is in much more trouble than just no t-shirts being printed and so on.
