In 2022 my cousins went to Saudi for a desert rave and they shared photos in Facebook drinking alcohol and smoking Marijuana, I really thought that meant to say they were in UAE and not Saudi because the Saudi I know and worked at was very conservative but that really changed my mind. I guess they are changing and that's their country so their rules.
@zinab2blessa Жыл бұрын
Yes, but the country as a whole is very much still a conservative country. It's just that the liberals are louder these days and dominate the media. There so many arrests on anyone who speaks out or criticises these changes, so one thinks that everyone is ok with what is going on! One has to also remember that KSA has a large non-Saudi /non Muslim population,so not everyone there is actually Saudi or Muslim. The country as a whole has not changed to this extent. Jeddah and Riyadh is where you might see these things and only in some specific places.

As a European Moroccan Muslima, i love my Deen. The West has no real freedom. If everyone has an opinion about you because you walk around covered up and you chose that yourself because you want to serve your Lord, that is not freedom. The west sees this and sees the covered woman as a threat. But I consider it an honor that my Lord commands me to cover myself. Who decides that the West is civilization? And that the whole world should look like them? I was born and raised in the West and it is an illusion that this is real happiness. I ask my Lord to make the leaders of Islamic countries realize this. May they be proud of their Deen and their customs and that the West should not lecture them. The West is only good at colonizing and feeling better than others.

This life style comes with a HEAVY price when it comes to the society's wellbeing. Taking a look at what is going on in other countries that took the same route is important. Not sure why freedom is equated to parties, driving, promiscuity..ets. KSA has much bigger problems that need to be solved. But they will not realise what they lost, until it's too late. It is very clear what part of the society these individuals belong to, and they are still a minority.

Great women. Pure propaganda from M.B.S., don't believe the hype.
@MVUK3582 жыл бұрын
Yes, it seems these women are a very, very tiny minority. When they actually show the streers of the capital, you see 95% of women still covered from head to toe, blindly following an extremely conservative version of Islam that tells women they should not be as free as men are. But it's good to see at least some progress for younger generation.
@Salman-ji7en Жыл бұрын
@@MVUK358 You seem to have a twisted interpretation of freedom. If a person wants to dress conservatively that's their prerogative. If 95% of women want to be covered from head to toe then they should be allowed to. It seems you don't really care about freedom at all, moreso wanting to see more scantily clad women for your own interests.

I think this is a new strategy from the Saudi government to identify the fasiq citizens in easy, effective and also efficient way. Just loosen the law a bit and let the citizens do whatever they want. I just don't know what the govt will gonna do with the result. I think this to fortify the strenght of the nation in the future.

The Saudi gov is too busy planning it's survival to care about it. The tattooed girl is right in that it's always existed- DW even had a doc on Bahrain and many Saudis go there for immoral reasons. Youth will be youth, even in the land of the two holy mosques.
