The hustle before Vintage Market | What we are Making to Sell | Trash to Treasure Upcycled DIY Ideas ... Diamonds in the Rust, one of our largest craft fairs / vintage markets is next week. This means that my goal has been to create as much product to sell as possible. Creating video content has been tricky, as I can get a lot more done without worrying about the camera, flitting from project to project while each dries. With that, I'll show you some DIY home decor step by step, but much of it will be the highlights and an overview of my upcycled ideas.

A lot of what I did was repurposing or upgrading pieces that were left from last year, like the bunnies. I also was really focused and decided that I just didn’t have time to film it all. I can work faster if I can work on 4-5 projects at a time, shifting to the next piece while something dries. I’m hoping for a good show!

This video was so much fun watching. You surely have alot going on. I enjoyed seeing some of the items such as the books of wood with nostalgic Easter napkins decoupage. I just love them as well as the carrots. I'm trying to get some spindles to make some. My landlord let's me scavenge his scrap wood trash can. I get alot of great pieces. Good fortune at your show.

Hi Melissa I like the simple block projects the best. The first one with the scrap wood & lavender then the decoupage flat slabs of wood. I get it, not a big money maker but it gets people to look at the other pieces too!

The carrots sold out on the first day. We sold almost all of the lavender. We sold about a dozen of the lamb.

I recommend selling online then. If your market can’t sustain the prices, then it’s a good idea to go out of your area!

I’m not sure what you mean by, “are the markets unique”. Vintage Market Days is done across the country. Diamond D is here only. There are similar markets in a lot of states, you might just have to travel to them.
