Que c est beau!!! C est captivant et ça va crescendo !!! J ai découvert cette musique dns un film de lelouche. *_Illness prevents me from attending concerts as I did in my youth and all my adult life. Now I have only KZbin to see an orchestra playing and in some inexplicable way the Boléro united this wonderful orchestra as though it were a single organic unity and I was made a part of it as though I were actually in the theater. They were playing for me and the tears flowed down my face, such was I moved by this performance. Bravo! And thanks to John for uploading it._*

It’s noteworthy that Boléro was initially a dance music Ravel was commissioned for by the Russian dancer, Ida Rubinstein, and from there on it has consistently gained ever more popularity and fame. It is an 18-piece orchestration of the same theme with solo instruments reiterating the same theme, until the 13th variation when the full strings finally kick in and the crescendo builds momentum to an abrupt end. It is an ingenious work of musical arts that does nothing but excite and enthrall the audience, and I absolutely love it!

Esse andamento de 17 minutos era o que Maurice Ravel achava ser o ideal pois, assim era possível ouvir as notas de cada instrumento. Ele sempre refutava a tese de que essa melodia era repetitiva mesmo voltando ao tema inúmeras vezes durante toda a sua execução. Eu particularmente concordo com ele afinal, ele é o "pai" dessa maravilhosa composição!
