I grew up watching much older and scummier guys in bands creep on my then underage female friends. Some of them have never really recovered from being groomed, exposed, and abused. Maybe it's suspicious to you that people would be so quick to attack this guy, but why are you other commenters so quick to defend him? It doesn't take a jury to make someone a scumbag. Also, I totally get it. Me and most of my friends in high school were "rejects" in some way shape or form and our parents were total garbage so we basically made our own laws and ways of living so back then this grooming behavior felt more acceptable because we were young and wanted to mature and rebel. Even the older scumbags creeping on the people my age were very emotionally stunted and it makes sense that they would gravitate toward people closer to their own emotional age, but little to nothing will ever undo the damage that was done because of it. He was 25 and she was 15 and that's all you need to know. It's over and instead of arguing over this douchebag we should be watching out for our peers and loved ones and even the ones we don't love so much so that they aren't preyed upon by delusional man children because this is happening everyday all around you and hardly anyone cares. MeToo is the tip of the iceberg. We have not even scratched the surface and with the direction the world is heading I'm not sure we ever will, so go ahead and mourn the innocence of your future siblings, children, and significant others because it's just going to keep happening. It's not hard to believe someone who needs help. Even if you don't believe them, it's not your job to evaluate how true they are, it's your responsibility to try to help make them safer and to trust them because they are a goddamn child and they deserve patience. You can believe someone and help protect them without deeming another person unforgivably irredeemable as judge jury and executioner. It's up to those two to decide who to forgive and when to move forward and how to heal, and there's nothing wrong with saying that something scummy is scummy. We can all do better.

So her abuse allegations was baseless BS . she had to paint the whole thing with broad strokes so that her subjective experience of "emotional abuse" would equal actual physical abuse. Everyone who's in a relationship could claim "emotional abuse" because its subjective - and you have to actually be in that relationship to really know the details of why someone feels that way..and alot of times its a misunderstanding. And we've only heard her side and he denies it. so its a one sided accusation .and basic people like you just go along with the herd. She used the court of public opinion to convict him- . ... I don’t think she speaks very well. Probably not not quite as polished of a speaker. If you look at her interviews as a single artist, they are never ending loads of narcissistic drivel. I don’t think it’s her fault. She first have the benefit of a high school education, then grew up screaming into a mic. She’ll sit how she wants! What does everyone want to criticize and reinforce that she’s weak?? Maybe some self reflection on what helps women succeed in life.

Young people lack experience, which is why they do not have good discernment when it comes to making life choices; which art to consume, which clothes to wear, which friends to keep, what foods to eat etc. Part of growing up is learning to choose what is actually good for you in the long run. Unfortunately by the time you’ve figured it out you’re old, and the next generation isn’t interested in what you’re trying to say.

@discotiq4 жыл бұрын
People on this comment section keep trying to fish abusive behaviour from Ethan in this video, but the thing is Alice stated he was good in keeping those things private. I mean, if none of that had happened you'd never point theses things out just from what you see here, and just because there's no evidence found in an interview filmed in a studio doesn't mean you should believe her less. I just... find it weird that people think this short clip could tell much? Her discomfort is quite noticeable though.
@marinamansfield58723 жыл бұрын
i mean , i think thats how things usually happen, for example when you are in a toxic relationship and you dont see all of the red flags until you look back on it , and then all of the details seem to surface. i think thats the scary part about this. she was emotionally abused and you wouldnt be able to pick that up unless you looked at the details, this is simply my opinion though 🤷♀️
@smsmsmsmsmsm2 жыл бұрын
Exactly, I know that’s Alice’s abuse was lengthy and intense and I wish she received all the royalties for their music, but I also find it weird people are trying to psycho analyse every action in this brief interview so much.

I don’t... I don’t see or feel any tension between the two of them in this interview. You guys have let what she’s stated recently about the two of them control your views on something as simple as a sort of awkward interview. Nobody should be treated the way Alice was supposedly treated, and I get that, but I think the “odd” way they’re acting is just their personalities. They’re pretty weird people. I don’t see how people think Alice is “holding back” and is getting “controlled by Ethan”. Everyone’s view is bent outta shape because of her response to the abuse and stuff.

Ethan Kath is talented but if he also needs Alice's talent to be successful then they are more/less equal partners. If he treated her with respect and paid her fairly the whole mess wouldn't have happened and the legend would go on no matter how they met. Sadly he chose violence & denial... in order to control her like slave *Edit: If you're a decent human being, please admit the wrongdoings, apologize & put her on fair royalties.
