I also thought I was going to love Radiance but did not! I agree that there was no tension and it was boring. I felt like I was the only one who disliked it - glad I’m not alone! I reread Chestnut Springs this month and loved it ❤

The ending of Metal Slinger traumatized me (in the best way possible), and I had to take a minute after finishing it to process the book in its entirety. Wild. It was an absolute ride and journey!!

Wow that's how you wrap a month up, a lot of interesting stories to be excited for. This woven kingdom series sounds amazing and I read the first book and it was great but love triangle is not really my thing maybe I'll give it another try someday. Happy Sunday 🤗🌹

I had the same thoughts with Frost and Ambrosia. Ambrosia was such a disappointment after Frost being surprisingly good! I also read Peaches & Honey in Sept, hoping to get round to the second book this month 🤞🏻 Loved the ending of Metal Slinger - I did not see it coming!

My favorite book that I read in September was Pen Pal by JT Geissinger. Holy hell. For starters, I bought the book thinking it was gonna be a certain trope but it ended up being something completely different. It was so much fun // and spicy//. Im currently working on the Broken Bonds series, and I'm wanting to either dive into Throne Of Glass or Zodiac Academy.

*spoilers for Metal slinger* Rachel- I am not okay. The ending to Metal Slinger made absolutely no sense. It is completely out of character. There was no foreshadowing to even prepare us for this being a possibility. The whole book feels like it was a waste of time or a complete lie. I love their love and I feel like I got punched in the gut with that ending. It creates so many plot holes and makes the whole journey she’s been on confusing now. I personally think it was a really poor way of adding a shock factor at the end of the book. It could’ve been done better. Beau and messer being in on it doesn’t make any sense. The maile soldiers arriving last minute when she hasn’t even been home or met her mom yet? But soldiers show up and answer to her now? She can’t be away from Acker for 5 minutes without dream walking to him but she’s capable of the ultimate betrayal risking it all? I have no hope for the next book because there’s no way the plot can be fixed now unless this was a terrible terrible dream for Acker and the next book is going to be his POV and the first chapter is going to him waking up and deciding he’s going to kill the king to solve their problems. Ugh! Other than that ending the book was a solid 4 star read and I loved the journey!
