I like for honor because of it's over the top characters, fighting style and general duelist style of combat. Is it realistic? About as realistic as a space marine drop podding into my house to have tea with me. It elevates you about the "common" soldier in the shieldwall/ insert favorite military formation here. This isn't mount and blade over here, your supposed to be a exemplar of your faction and for honor nails it perfectly imo.

I feel like they could probably dial back the hero outfits and effects and look in to building new maps. It's been a very long time since we've gotten anything new like that. Some slight map reworks for balance or whatever, but after playing for about a year (returning player) it's really dull playing the game 4 maps repeatedly.

Honestly I share this remark and I think for honors player base is amazing in every way 1st it’s almost feels kinda of more like a reality type simulation where in reality you have say noobs (infants or babies) that come in to the games (world) ran at the same time there are more experienced players (elderly or people that have been around awhile) in a multiplayer game like for honor or first person shooters I wouldn’t want them to not play their best just because of a beginner coming into these games that’s just life plus I solo one character and learn to beat everyone playing all the other characters and anyone that chooses can go into training mode with me to help teach me to become better that is just how I enjoy the game and life

Well I can't 100% agree on the toxic arguement. GTA is a perfect example of a game that encourages toxicity. For Honor has things like emote spam, extremely cheesy feeling feats, they create heroes that feel cheap and toxic players gravitate to those meta heroes. It's not entirely the fault of For Honor but to remove all blame entirely is silly.

There is still a key difference established by your comment. Gta encourages toxicity while in for honors case. Yes you can emote spam and there are unbalanced things that wasn't the devs intention for it. It really does come down to people being toxic. You give a person anything and generally they will find a way to use it in an unintended way if they want to.

Personally i dont think crossplay will benefit the game enough to deal with the flaws. I find fighting someone on next gen already problematic because of the 30fps difference. Now on top of mouse and keyboard its almost an entirely different feel. I think Aramusha pre-rework is a good example. On PC he was a low tier hero but on console some considered him high to mid tier. Point being on console he was still viable but on PC he was impossible to play.

I used to play with a controller on a bad pc and then switched to to mouse and keyboard on a good pc, honestly as long as you know the game well, competitively it doesn't make that mutch of a difference, it does feel horrible though

I want a For Honor 2 or expansion that goes more into fantasy. Idk after paying Nioh 2 I just want a Yokai type samurai that actually looks like a yokai, like I'd love to play a Shuten Doji type hero where I can spit fire after drinking sake etc. I feel that'd be a cool change of pace.

Mostly because of the lack of players, a game is as loud as the community it plays it is, not many players showcasing it means not many people even get to know it, then with the toxic gaming community always saying the game is bad and that no one should play it, telling new people to leave, all the people get scared away, If these people were to just dissappear one day we would all be better, less players means less devs, they want updates, but they don't want the price that comes with them, gamer have gotten way to spoiled, people need to learn to appreciate how generous the gaming community and the gaming companies have been even much more compared to other industries.

Love the game but can admit that yeah once you get to 200 rep you either are on the team that curb stomps or you and one another dude at best are going positive and keeping your team competitive but that's an issue with being antisocial and surviving exclusively in solo que and it persists across most games after you reach a certain level of game time and skill. I currently have it uninstalled but without a doubt in two or three months I can almost guarantee I'll be coming back

I must say that For Honor is a good game. As a grinder I love playing it's pve mode with friends and other players. What I don't like from the game is it's pvp due that the toxic players who are there to provoke you and disturb you so you won't be able to do any in-game ojectives or have fun either with your friends or solo.

Scavenger crates are basically loot boxes that are pointless to use.

The difference between a scavenger crate and a loot box is this: 1.) All equipment you get from a scavenger crate can be gotten from playing a match. It's all up to chance what you get, but just playing matches will still get you equipment. In games were loot boxes are used, this is usually not the case. Usually loot boxes are the only means of getting anything. 2.) I can use in game currency to buy scavenger crates. Most loot boxes you must pay for. Take the 'alpha packs' in Rainbow Six for example. You have the POTENTIAL to earn one after a match...but only if you win. If you lose, you don't get one, and even if you do win, you have to gamble at whether or not you get one. Then you only get ONE item...and if that item is a duplicate of one you have, you don't get refunded the pack, you get refunded in game currency that doesn't even let you purchase alpha packs later. In fact, the currency Rainbow uses to buy alpha packs is the kind that requires you to actually pay money, not earn in game. So it could totally be a waste. Scavenger crates meanwhile will AT LEAST give you 5 unique equipment pieces, two of which will be rare pieces, and if there are duplicates, you can dismantle them for salvage that can be used to give XP boosts in battle. They might be similar to loot boxes, but they are far batter than most that I have seen.

Dark soul was not everyboby fun game For honor too When I first played this game I felt it was an infuriating game Many times or even now I die with Light Spam even if freeze says to block it Personally, I think This game is difficult to control the existence of new players. With the difficulty of reaching the success of the novice player in which you will lose and practice a lot It's definitely harder than playing a FPS mutipalyer game. And new players want to play dominion mode more than 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 which is almost a different game Most players are not as good as Faram including me many times being surrounded you will die before the "revenge" system works. From a new player point of view, it's probably the reason why For honor is not durable for new players.

True, but you don't require the crates to get the loot, where as with loot boxes, in certain games, they are the only way to get the items you want. Compare the crates in For Honor with the Alpha Packs in Rainbow Six, for example.

I agree that Orochi is OP rn, but I heavily disagree that it’s because of his light spam when at most he can only do two. What makes him OP is his dodge recoveries that make his kick unpunishable

I think his dodge recoveries do contribute, but I think it's also because of a few other factors: He has a light off of just about every successful strike be it a heavy, a light, a zone, a deflect light, a dodge light, a kick, or a dashing heavy. And there's hardly any stamina cost for him doing all this. The ability to fluidly move into almost any light off of every attack and with near limitless stamina, means he could potentially kick, light, dodge light, light, back step light, kick, light, and repeat this process ad nauseum

I'd say yes, but for different reason, not too different tho, I don't think a game is good just because you want to play it again, I think death stranding is a great game but I don't want to play it again for example. I think a game is good when you have fun with it, doesn't matter how many people do or how much they do it, that's another conversation about the same theme. For me as long as at least someone enjoyed a game it has served its purpose, to entertain, not only did for honor filled this category, but it overflowed it, for honor is a amazingly entertaining game, people have played it for hours, day even years, the simple fact that people complain about it proves this true, people want the game to change for the better or are so mad of what it could be, even if they are the pieces of shit they are by harming a game just because they dont like the fact of playing it it's another thing. I had more ideas for what I'm writing but I'll just reply to it cuz I forgot what I was going to say.
