This is exactly what I've been waiting for :). I actually started this run myself two weeks ago when i suggested it here. Alongside the drip, claw talisman, claws and AoW, I use kukris and other consumables I otherwise wouldn't use. It's great fun :D

for a while the raptor claws were considered the best weapon in the game, and I'm not sure much has happened to change that. A large part of that was how uncharged charge attacks hit twice and flinch smaller enemies and the passive bleed

BFB is 45 build up over time, it can't get MORE than 45 per 2 seconds. Our Occult had 108 per hit, which is +48 over the standard 60, on EACH hit, not capping at 45 over 2 seconds. You're wrong about the bloodflame build up.

Raptor of the Mists on great hammer and great axes is so funny. And a great/fun way to counter Radagon. (Though makes elden beast a little harder). I recommend it! Doesnt get bonuses from the jump attack talisman though. Nani teh hell?

I know it's Technically a Ravenmount thing, however, Lifesteal Fist would have been a good replacement for Mist Raven. It's a fun, on demand crit that works well on a surprising number of enemies, gives you health back, and takes advantage of Claws improved Crits. Works with either Blood or Occult infusions too.

As a side note, its also worth looking at the fextralife which infusion gives you higher stance dmg. For most weapons it is heavy, but fot this weapon its actually keen. Not a huge difference, but stance breaks are always great :) Also, im pretty sure using the uncharged heavies are the way to go for this weapon.
