Last time I played Jinx I autoed a bruiser who was building full tank 8 times & my hits did barely any damage despite being full boots and 2.5 items into my build. He ate every shot, ran me down, 2 shot me, and ended the fight with more health than when the fight began. All of this took place after I had just laned vs a seraphine and got out traded and out sustained while she sat 2 screens away the entire time. That was it for me with ADC champs. (Build was fine too, I was trying the top meta build at the time to see if jinx could be fun again, I used to love playing her).

Jinx isn’t Jinx anymore without Lethal Tempo. She’s just the run of the mill ADC now, no more “Late Game” powerhouse. You’re fed? You’re just average unless someone on the enemy team dies, and good luck staying a live long enough for that to happen. Not to mention all Atk Spd Crit items lost AD, so she essentially got double nerfed. I don’t even recognize her anymore, she’s just Cait but objectively worse in every way

Yes, or the "Dawn of War" custom map within Dota 2. Or Heroes of the Storm, or Demigod, just to mix things up. There used to be many, fun MOBA's, in the same top-down camera style as the Starcraft/Warcraft custom map offerings, like AOS/Dota. Red solstice would also be a good option, as another game that is the descendant of a WC3 custom map, (Night of The Dead)

I dont know about this season but after learning the ins and outs of the game very long time ago.....mages never were a problem to me as an ADC in lane phase. In team fights is chaotic and it is hit or miss, so its not a mage thing. Depending on the team comp I face I pick an adc. My comfort pick against mages on botlane is Lucian or Sivir if I want to be extra defensive. Caitlyn or Ashe are not bad either because the extra range gives you more room for error especially against Lysandra, you can bully her hard as Lucian, Sivir, Ashe or Caitlyn, out of the lane.

This is the hidden tech that me and my cousin been doing XDDDD. He plays tank veigar, only builds tank items to be an annoying ass and I play vlad adc, build like a normal vlad. Worst case scenario, if we lose lane then we'll be hella annoying to the enemy team as he and me will have frequent visit to the enemy jungler and top laner. If we win lane then it's over for the enemy team

I have a duo friend I usually play with, and we will play literally any champ in botland (except ADC). And the game always results in we carry the game, and at worst equal to their bot. We having so much fun bullying botland I recommend trying pantheon/pyke bot and jump on their adc none stop, super good, but very high risk though

@@Ravlol What l have noticed in many such games of heroes like LOL and Overwatch. Lack of awareness and identifying your position is bad; during any part of the game. In overwatch, many teammates and especially tanks, push forward when the enemy is 4 or 5 when it is 2-3(including me as support Ana. So teammates(even me if l die) really wastes time and good possible fight initiations. That is what l have noticed when l see fights we lost or l died because l wanted to help my mate but l died because who can win against overwhelming odds? When the game is balanced that way, you can't take on when one side is clearly winning the fight. l can bet, a Soraka going top who knows good self-observation(Awareness and positioning, even against skillshots) can do wonders and have low death ratio in theory. As along it isn't something crazy she can't deal it anyways because of both hers and enemy's kit. Of course. l got to add, at least have a mate who cares about the support(and others) and protects. The worst thing is having no people to defend you against invisible enemies or a dive hero. Well, that's my theory. What do you think?

The main moral of the story is that if its a support diff in your favor, it literally does not matter what you play. Welcome to bot lane. The role with basically zero agency. DPS is out of the question because every other player on 99% of your matches is also playing burst carry characters and doesn't give a shit about frontlining to give you time to put out damage. Not that it would even matter, because balance is at a point where a full tank garen can sprint at you, flash, and one shot you way before any tank can even actually do anything. . So yea, you might as well just play mages. Even the "ADC's" being played are basically just mage adcs like lethality varus, ezreal, jhin etc.

(btw don't tell me that your team has to be good enough to understand that they have to peel you, anyone locking in champs that do that lock them in for the purpose of peeling you/healing you.. Like if ur support locks in Lulu they don't have to be good or smart to spam all their spells to heal you and cc Assasins that try to kill u, same goes for nautilus, yuumi and pretty much any support that does the job)

No one is stoping you from playing an adc in a solo lane. Every low impact problem that adc has is gatekept behind the fact that you will always be 2-3 levels behind on solo laners. If you are the same or above, you will have the agency you require. Ranged top/mid has never been easier, and the last time i checked bruisers are better at early game skirmishes so hand them with a support and you fix 2 problems with one swap.

And playing adc on mid if you're not a tristana is also trolling, because this is literally the lane with champions specifically designed to hard counter adc, so you will play the hardest matchups here as adc. No tools to survive dives, no tools to hard push the lane(unless you're tristana who has insane range + push power).

I've played many games on every role in league in the range of eu emerald-diamond. And for my games it's the bot diff that decides which team will win for 80% of games, so I thought to myself: "Rav yapping about how adcs are weak when they are actually busted, as he always does". But then I read your reply to one of the comments here and I have to say that I kinda see your point and understand your thinking. It was something like: "adcs are strong but I still can't climb with them, but I can do it with mages. This video is an advice for bad players by a bad players" - more or less like that. And I have to say it is a pretty good reasoning and maybe for golds and players that are not the best but still get a nice grasp of the game it is better to do it this way than to rely on kiting and positioning which may be much harder and not rewarding enough. So props to you Rav, and for all the frustrated adc mains out there, stay strong

The problem with League right now is that there is too much CC in the game, and one of the best ways to win right now is to stack mages with Blackfire Torch potential, which do damage on par with a lategame ADC, and unlike waiting for the ADC to scale to become broken, abusing CC adorned BFT mages is broken from the outset, and is guaranteed to win games, especially early on. Phreak basically loves the moniker of Tons of Damage way too much, to the point he completely invalidated not one, but TWO durability updates by jacking up damage counts to insane levels. This means that everyone, including Tanks, are very squishy, and will die in one if not two CCs. CC durations were made long on the pretense that even squishy champions can survive 3 seconds of CC because damage was so much lower. These days, though? A single stun/root/knockup lasting longer than 1 second feels insanely broken and unfair, and Mages are the core beneficiary of that privilege.
