Oh I agree - in some situations it’s the strongest card in the entire format and just a great equalizer/emergency brake against some of the other broken cards like ancestral, loa and mind twist ♥️

Likely a case of not owning juzams. They are expensive bovines after all and it’s not that common for players to own play sets of them :)

The drain life at 29:28 or so only dealt one point of life, so there was no need to sacrifice the mox jet. Think you caught most of the other stuff.

I believe he used the mana from the loa as the colorless mana and then 3 black mana on top - to make a drain life for two. He goes from 7 to 9 life afterwards. It must be a drain life for 2 right? Did I miss something?

Nope sadly the european OS format is played without mana burn which renders some cards unusable (power surge) but it does make su-chi a powerhouse of a creature 💪

Now that wasn’t a very nice thing to say to a couple of strangers that has agreed to have their game recorded and shown - to no benefit to themselves. Im not sure what the specific play mistakes you’re referring to are- but tournaments in Old School are usually more relaxed and cozy than ones in the modern formats. And a big part of the draw for the players is also collecting sweet and nostalgic cards - saving up for one card at a time over years or sticking to what they kept since they were kids. This love for old cards does not mean they should be perfect players by default. Winning matches is not the main reason they collect the cards. :)
