That '79 All Time Stolen Bases Record Holder Lou Brock is awesome! He was one of my Dad's favorite players. I remember Dad telling me about how Lou Brock was a real "class act" on top of being one of the all time greats. He bought a not so great condition '74 Lou Brock card for me once when he took me to a card shop back in the early eighties. I will always cherish that card. Recently, I have been player collecting Lou Brock in honor of my Dad. I think that would make him happy.

I love Lou Brock. He is one of my faves. I love speed in Baseball. Almost all my favorite players were SB guys.

(yes, im old) ... the 50s - 60s - 70s only had Topps & packs were less than $1 ... the 80s gave birth to Dunruss & Fleer - packs went to $1 .... today, its IMPOSSIBLE to afford a pack when the price is $5 - $10 - $15 - $20

Mattingly is baseballs Tony Boselli. For 6 years Tony was the best tackle in football bar none, the then career quickly ended due to injury. If he or Mattingly had 2-3 more healthy years! Auto included in the HOF

Agreed I was on my way out of town as he was just coming in a few years ago I noticed his tags said Vida blue on his baggage so I discreetly asked him he was the Vida and he said yes and so started a conversation with him as I waited for my flight and I will tell you for 30 minutes at least we carried on talking like he wasn’t famous and had the best time meeting him I will always cherish how kind he was and down to earth
