It gave me the best understanding of your approach so far, which helps me work on my flexibility goals to be able to restart doing my passion which is martial arts. Thanks! ✌️💛🙏

10:53 I started doing those a while ago after seeing this in yoga where they just sink in and stretch. I figured I'd make a calisthenics exercise out of it and it became the same movement David does here. This is one of the best mobility exercises I've experienced, and I think it's great for improving kicking, if you're into martial arts.

i focussed on flexibility after bodybuilding for years, and it was good, i felt amazing... but one day i measured my biceps and they were 14inches, and then i went to lift the older weights i lifted and was shocked how weak i was... my problem now is that weight lifting makes my muscles so tight that to have both size strength and flexibility, for me at least, seems impossible when you see athletes like jujimufu, it's unbelievably impressive to be that strong and flexible also wanted to mention for anyone interested in doing flexibility training, you will eventually get all these stretches and exercises, like you will 'get it'... i never done my research into these stretches and ended up discovering them purely on my own, these stretches are very intuitive and if you spend enough time focussing your body, tightness and building that connection you will become like this

Discovered your videos in December, and figured I wanted to give mobility/flexibility training a try since I sit a lot at work and I've started noticing my body being a bit prone to aches and pains since entering my 30's. To my massive surprise, I think this is the first time in a decade that I've been able to sustain a training programme so consistently for so long. I've been doing exercises from your free ebooks 6 days a week for several weeks now. It's also been amazing to feel the results. I can touch my toes for the first time since I was a kid, I don't make a noise when I sit down, and taking walks has gone from an uncomfortable necessity to genuinely pleasant now that I no longer feel a bunch of tightness, pops and clicks in my hips and knees when I walk. I've wanted to take better care of my body for many, many years, and now you've influenced me to finally do it, and it just feels amazing.

Oh David, you are such a smart boy. I loved all your vids and shorts from the beginning and i learned a LOT from it. But i tend to loose track of the important bits of information if a video is going for such a length. Would be nice, if future videos could be on a specific point and focused on it alone but on some sidestories. I am quite sure, on a long term, stretched videos don't track as much viewers as short ones - even if the KZbin algorithm goes for longer videos to place ads.

6:18 When I was in like 13-14 years oldI used to do Taekwondo which require lot of flexibility of legs, during that time, In time span of 4-5 months I was able to do full side ways stretching and I am amazed you are doing side ways squats that we called as sit-ups for warm-up, bc I did it too it was like 200-400 sit-ups a set each 2 sets and between each set do stretching But here was a problem, my legs used to get flexible temporary my kicks would go high and I was unable to do 180° side ways stretching without those warm-up but there was a other girl she was able to stretch side ways 180° without any warm-up at time any where (although she was already pro player when I joined)

I have like a pinch-pain in left side lower back while doing pancake. The way the pains reduce is by sitting in the pancake posture, engage my glutes trying open legs (even if it is not moving), engage my abs to push my belly towards to the ground and engage my back, to make it straight from the lower to upper part. Now I know I was doing good-morning pancakes. :D

Hey curious on advice here. When stretch my hip flexor i feel a nice deep stretch throughout my quad but also it feels like an acute stabbing at one particular spot, couple inches above my knee on the outside of my leg. Almost as if i can feel my muscle fibers detaching from the tendon in a 1cm area? Happens only on my left side, no issue at all on my right. I'm used to the intensity of a deep stretch but that is not the sight yet very sharp acute stab i feel when stretching my left leg

The weirdest thing for me, is when my hips are nice and loose (and that takes work, cause my hip flexors do not want to loosen up) my sense of humor goes to 11. Like, any little thing that's even remotely funny will set me off. When my hips are tight, it's just not the same. Bodies be weird.
@Mylksix4 ай бұрын
Your body stores a lot of trauma! Perhaps when you loosen up, you let go of something that stops you from laughing as much as you’d like
