Thank you so much for keeping us updated. We live, part time, over by mid point bridge. Just got our dock built. Boat not home yet. I'm so excited to have our boat home, but glad it's not there yet! Be well, and be safe. Thank you both for all the great content.🙏🏼👍🏼

Your house is beautiful… I watched one of your videos a few years ago I believe or maybe just a year ago I’m getting old and time flys lol but I retired out of NYC and moved to NC and that’s when I saw one of your videos then moved to palm beach gardens then recently moved to fort myers and a life long friend just moved to Cape Coral not on a canal but on a lake in a nice community.. we just met for lunch on pine island and wow hurricane Ian really totaled pine island so I’m sure you must have been hit bad .. I just subscribed to your channel because what’s the odds of watching one of your videos a year + ago and now living a few miles away lol … hopefully nothing happens with this tropical storm /hurricane and your family stays safe and your house stays unscathed… god bless

It looked like we had about 6-8" on our dock, hard to tell precisely from the cameras. I have my boat on a lift, strapped to the dock and also tied up, so it was fine. Good thing you noticed that Sailfish was at risk!

Thank god it was "only" a tropical storm. I hate it when beautiful landscapes get destroyed. My ex college Jörg wrote me a message via WhatsApp and added a few pictures from his yard in Bradenton Manatee county. There was water everywhere but nothing seriously damaged

Hi Capt. Tom back from the mini loop to flooded canal. wasn't this the same situation after last hurricane after IAN. I think I seen your video then. well be extremely careful when the water goes down with your dock electricity as you experienced before. hope you and Bridgett and matey had a great time as always enjoyed your great videos and commentary stay safe alk in Michigan (also watching out for neighbors is highly commendable)

No rushing back. Debby wasn’t even on the radar while we did the loop

My parents live down in cape coral. Their house flooded during Ian and the boat ended up half on the dock half on the lift with no damage to the boat fortunately. They want me to move out of the midwest to cape coral but idk tornadoes can be terrifying but id rather deal with that than hurricanes.

One blessing it is happening during daylight. Would be 10X more miserable and unsafe if you did this work in no power darkness by flashlights. Nice storm coverage. pS, what is your neighbors go fund me page? I’ll send some scratch for a better USA flag!

Are you able and if so, what percentage of home owners have flood insurance living on canals in Cape Coral? Have any idea or ever asked your neighbors?

Most do. It’s also required by banks if you have a mortgage.

Just curious, when you have tides and storm surge that high, does everyone turn off the power to their power pedestals?

No, most do not. Which is scary. I am very careful when around the docks.
