The raw unedited video of a pretty good sized sweet-gum that we started as the last job of the day, the first day we got most of the brush off of it, and then the second day we returned to finish the tree, without damaging any of the surrounding obstacles.
Highlights
Part 1: • HUGE sweet-gum with no...
Part 2: • HUGE sweet-gum with no...

The day befor yesterday I (76 years) cut down a 70feet pine tree in a similaire way, with a Stihl elektric cable bounded chainsaw, my son helped downside on the rope to bring the branches down, the trunk I saw in pieces about 2feet, but I could trow them down one by one. My body still hurts because its a hard job. Most important is to work without error and safely...because if you fall you are dead.

My folks have 3 sweet gums. Beautiful trees, but they make a mess of your yard with prickly gumballs galore. Wood is hard as hell too.

Watching your hand switch grip position, then switch back at 3:40.. Story of my life haha. I second guess sometimes but end up turning back to muscle/ how the branch looks memory

Yea I always try to keep my hand in a position that keeps it away from the chain, but decided that the original would work better

Gotta' admit, I skipped through some parts (4 hours?) to get to the final cutting down of the trunk. I have a number of sweet gum tress on my property (3 suburban acres in SC), and I HATE sweet gum trees! I can't walk though any part of my yard without almost falling from slipping on the stupid seed pods, which are the exact height to roll under my shoes! If I could get rid of them all, I would, but unfortunately several of them provide shade for my dogwood glades, both front and back yards, and I don't have a spare $50k to get them down....But i greatly enjoyed the demise of THIS one! I'm glad you enjoyed watching. Sweet gum is pretty good for shade, but other then that not to much.

It seems like a good idea for the independent contractor or service technician. One question I have is, how much carrying capacity are you losing from the organizers and accessories weight?
@ReallyTallTreeGuy

What do you mean by carrying capacity? As in room or weight?

I had one, I actually broke at the 1st day I had it. At this point just throwing the tail end of my flip line is quicker, or grabbing a close by branch.

I watched. I’m retired landscaper. You are the MOST ridiculous tree sawyer I ever witnessed or heard about. You were doing okay until you got down to the lower more valuable trunk and began to spend way too much time sawing off small pieces.
