As a Blues fan, all I can say is congratulations on an amazing season. When they were down 0-3, I counted them out and boy did this team prove me wrong. It was either Leon or Connor that said Stanley cup or bust. There was no bust this year. If anything, it was a learning experience. Look what the Panthers went through last year. Edmonton will be back very soon stronger than ever. Kris Knoblauch turned this team from the potential lottery picks to going to the Stanley Cup finals. 46-18-5 in not his first full season is truly incredible. Congratulations on an amazing season and looking forward to our battles here soon.

Knoblauch was so integral to Oilers success this season. The calls on the ice, the timeouts, the lineup changes, whatever was done in practice, or said in the locker room.. Him and Coffey were monumental in moving this team forward.

They have the team to win the cup now. Another season of development with the rookies like Broburg and Holloway, and some more experience for Skinner and Bouchard, coupled with a healthy Leon, McDavid and Kane and they could be formidable.

3rd year consecutive the guys got further and better each year . Getting to the final and game 7 is a great achievement . The experience should be the catalyst to encourage next oilers season of a strong cup win.

2nd round exit vs Vegas isn't further than WCF exit vs Avs, but I agree somehow it feels "further". Why is that? Maybe cuz they got 2 wins against the eventual champs.

@@joetoh6675 by one goal that went off the defense mans thigh after bombing a 3 game to 0 by such a slim margin . don't forget we spanked them 8-1, the 5-2. panthers never beat the oilers by that kind of domination since nov of last year . oilers should have won but they fell back in the old defenseless pattern and helped them score 45% of all their goals from stupid mistakes . so in ability and talent oilers dominated , but only lost due to mistakes . panthers never dominated the oilers in any of the 7 games and like i said last time they put a good effort was nov 23. so technically the better team lost only by their own mistakes , not from Florida being better . fact

Looking forward to a full year of coaching from you coach! I suppose you already have schemes for getting past the Panthers in next year's rematch. What do I know, but if they're going to allow some perimeter room in their zone, in favor of keeping the slot clogged up, I'd say get a lot of shooters and tippers and bumpers constantly shuffling in and out of the high percentage scoring zone. Hyman would fit right into such a scheme. Nuge and Kane could do well, each in their own very different ways. It would also mean Leon shooting from more than just his spot, and McLeod having to get into the traffic jam. Thank you Oilers, players, owner, president, GM, coaches, ticket staff, bean counters, ice crew, equipment guys, media, technical people, logistics, the entire organization, for a great season!

Im talking about the effort level. They were making great plays in the second period at less than 100% effort. The last five minutes, the goalie pulled, they were working, all though not successfully. I think you have to give Florida credit for that. Florida played a more intense game, at a higher level than our boys.

Draisaitl and Mcdavid have to be on the same line next year. MCdraihyman, Bouchard and Ekholm will generate so much offense every game which should lead to some more wins. Draisaitl not only plays with 3rd liners who fail to convert on his playmaking constantly, but he also hardly ever gets to play with the Bouch/Ekholm pair like McDavid which essentially means Mcdavid plays with the other 4 best players on our team while Leon rotates shifts with everyone else.

I don’t know the extent of the injuries or the reality of the whole situation but as a diehard fan that can remember when the oilers came over from world hockey association, I hear Knobber say if we had five more minutes. I ask what if they played every minute, Every shift like they played the last five minutes??? Am I the only one that see the 2 different games that this team plays? One where they give everything they got and the other, the typical Canadian hockey player that we all grew up with, kinda cocky no problem we got this. 110% next year guys. You can do it.

Skinner’s not a “Beer League Goalie”, he’s young and inexperienced when it comes to playoff hockey and especially the Finals. You don’t realize that this was only his first full-season in the NHL, and he went on a 14 game heater, beating Fuhr’s previous record of 10.

As far as Stanley Cup finals the stats say they may have the same save percentage but Bob's are more skewed. Bob's got inflated from the 8-1 Oiler win and the Panthers defense that game did him no favors. Panthers defense let in a couple game left Bob out on an island 🏝️. Skinner definitely played solid 🪨 after first 3 games but overall he is no where near the level of Bob.
