"You never know" is my favorite track because i've been a blink since 2016 and i've personally experienced and seen all the hate they got, defended them, fought so many on so many platforms and at that time, i never knew they were gonna get THIS popular and now just seeing them at such heights achieving so much and speaking about the hate they got, especially jennie from all the 2018 one month thing really hit me hard

I'm working on trying to differentiate between hate and reasonable criticism because people do have a right to critique their music, within reason. Also, in You Never Know, the part when Jennie sings "I remember so I'll be okay. To make the flowers bloom all over my neat room. I'll always be waiting" is about her trainee days, when her mother used to send her flowers to make her feel better when she was depressed in the competitive environment. They put a lot of their hearts and their memories in the songs (Stay also talks about those days and Jennie also heped writing it). These kind of things show also how they are part of the creative process of the songs, but almost doesn't receive credits. They show their hearts and their soul, but they are not recognized for it.

In my opinion, I think Crazy Over You is about crazy, obsessive stalker type of fans/people. If you listen to the lyrics with that perspective in mind, it fits perfectly. Also the instrumentation reminds me of horror movie soundtracks. When Jisoo sings, "Like eeee eeee eeee", it's reminiscent of horror movie scenes where the bad guys come out with a knife and try to slash/stab people and the shrieking sound in the background. The structure of the song is all over the place to create that chaotic "crazy" feeling.

I got into kpop because of blackpink. They made me fall in love with their music, and personalities. I'm a new blink and seeing the division of the fans and how they celebrate one member and bring another down just breaks my heart. They all work so hard. They have all gone through so much to get to where they are and some "fans" don't see their hardships and just criticize. The girls care for one another so much and I just hate how some fans want to create some sort of problem and conflict between them. They blame what happens to one to another and its just so sad. I just hope the girls stay strong and continue to be themselves, and not listen to those who try to paint them as someone they aren't. I hope they keep shining individually as well as together. I hope they know how much they have changed lives including mine for the better. And I hope that they're happy and healthy. And I'll continue to support them all and celebrate all of them because that's what they deserve.

Thank you for the honest tears. As I've said before, tears are medicine for the soul, and need to be applied as quickly and as often as necessary. When The Album was released, I found that Rosé and Lisa really stood out. My initial thought was that highlighting them was intentional to help ramp up to their solos. You never know hits really hard. Its my favorite song from the album. Pinks really go through so much ever since their debut. Jennie got so much hate during her solo because of the dating scandal with EXO member and called lazy dancer but it is because of her health issue, she mentioned in their documentary. Lisa got so much hate and unfair treatment just because she is not korean ever since her debut, She experienced racism from korean people every single day, Lisa also got so much hate during ice cream era for her almost first time having a lot of lines in the song, Lisa got so so much hate during her solo debut because of jelousy and up until now and some so called blinks were just faking their love for lisa and left her hanging whenever there is circumstances and speak ill about her. Rosé is not well appreciated by her fans and been called "weak voice" in kpop and Jisoo who always doing her best in everything but still got hate for no reason and saying she is just a "visual". Blackpink as a group being the punching bag of kpop. And blackpink being hated because the fans of their seniors (2ne1) saying that blackpink is the reason why 2ne1 disbanded which is NOT true. Crazy Over You is about obsessive love, almost psychotic. You’re right when you said that it’s “scary”. You may notice the horror undertones in the melody. It is can make you uneasy. The bass and the eerie tone like in horror movies. Jisoo’s “eeee-eeee” is like that laugh in horror movies. Also you can imagine that laugh like those of witches mixing a potion in a cauldron, probably to make the man they love just their own. This actually reminds me of Lorde’s Writer in the Dark.

I genuinely don't like judging idols cause of the same case in "you never know" we don't know who they are as a person and we don't know what they're going through. I was new to the fandom when the lazy thing goes off. As a new fan, what I have in my mind is that Jennie is a human being. Imagine constantly doing good on stage since debut and a couple of stages where you didn't do a certain routine people are quick to point it out and judge you. Idols are human beings and they go through stuff that we don't know whether it is physically or mentally. I just appreciate them so much that I don't want anything but their safety and happiness tbh. Blackpink can take a 1-2 year break per album and I will be fine. Let them live their lives, they literally put their teenage years training just to be the idols we're watching and admiring right now.

as much as they are the most popular and successful girlgroup in their generation they are also the most hated and constantly scrutinized by media too. they also have many toxic solo stans and it's crazy because how can you love one member and throw hate into the other memebers? Interesting thing is, this song being the last song of the album,and the next official released song after this was One The Ground - a deep and meaningful song which you have reacted beautifully. And I feel "Gone" is linked to Love Sick Girls. We saw Rosé heart broken in LSG, splashing black paint over the wall which was once pink, and crying in the bathtub covered in paint; black paint dripping inside the tub. We can see that same black paint stained bathtub in Gone music video. 🥺

That last song hits really hard. It lands on you like a piano. IT IS CRUSHING!! The whole album is BRILLIANT!! It builds to the crescendo of that last song like a grand opera. There are various different fun and boppy styles along the way. But that last song is so breathtakingly beautiful, that it just slaps you in the face. You had to be there when they premiered to see what people were writing at them. I think Lisa got the brunt of it at first,... that she wasn't Korean/not asian enough and wasn't worthy to be an idol. Rose' got it too early on. Then they really went after Jisoo, that she wasn't talented enough to be on the stage. She couldn't sing or dance. Keep in mind that your representation sees these things and changes their outlook on how they present you. I think it was when they were preparing Square Up for release that they really went after Jennie VICIOUSLY!! There were unsubstanciated rumors about her that just took off like a wildfire that could not be put out. She was a schemer. It was all really mean spirited as you can be when you're not facing who you are accusing. Real fans tried to come to the rescue on mass. But damage is damage. So having Jennie especially sing the lines, "you'll never know,..." hits really hard. I think she suffered the most attacks. They slammed her the hardest. One can only hope they get the last laughs.

For me I really loved all songs on the album I think my favorite is Love To hate me, You never know and Crazy over you. Honestly, my reaction to crazy over you for the first time was almost same as yours but something about the beat dragged me back to it and it did grow on me! Maybe because it has a kind of middle eastern beat to it and I am a middle eastern but I absolutely love it now.
