I really enjoyed this part 2 of 3 Gabe. What struck me was how well you deal with situations. You take your time to think rationally (btw, the way you ask things of stranger's ((bus departures for one & your ability to say No)) is very impressive) & never panic. You're the perfect person for us to learn HOW to travel & to not get stressed & upset when things don't go either as planned or hoped. All the very best mate 👍

I actually stayed at the Rooms Amiliano in Kruje that is right next to the castle. I think you were talking to someone from the restaurant at 03:54 - you can see the hotel in the background. It was so close to the castle they actually served breakfast on the castle wall itself. It's a shame you couldn't stay for a night or two, lovely area. Rooms Emiliano cost 20 Euros a night when I was there and that included breakfast - crazy! What an adventure, looking forward to seeing how you get yourself out of this one.

Gabe, Quick Albania question: Drawing on this and your prior visits; this summer I will be in Corfu and will journey to Albania for some coastal time (about 3 or 4 days). Which do you prefer for quality of experience, beach life etc, Saranda or Durres (and yes I know Saranda is much closer to Corfu). FYI, after my Albania experience (whichever one), I will be taking the ferry to Italy, Bari or Brindisi. Thanks.

I never went to Durres so I'm not sure what it's like. But if time is an issue then getting from Saranda up to Durres can be a long journey, so you might want to just stay in the area of Saranda and Ksamil. If you have spare time then maybe head up to Durres.
