Ted was once a baby, a toddler, played with toys, cried, learned to walk, talk, read, hit puberty, loved his mom…. But in the trajectory he became a predator, a killer of young women. We humans are full of horrible and great potential at the same time. It’s all so incredible that the universe has beings like us.

He was angry. Total disconnect. Like he was defending himself against the unjust punishment from his grandfather. His facial expressions and the half -laugh during the reading of “beating about the head” was like a teenager’s. His vocabulary is advanced but his emotional maturity is about age 14. No innocent adult would act or remark in this way. An innocent man would be horrified at the charges and he looks angry that he’s in trouble for no good reason once again. He lacks any human depth whatsoever.

Sheriff Katsaris was criticized for this, but I can't understand why. This guy had broken out of jail twice, and after breaking out of jail twice he killed at least three more people, including a 12 year old girl. This is the sheriff reassuring the public that the world is now safe from this fiend. This absolutely needed to be done. This was not showboating, this was reassuring people that this monster wasn't going to hurt anyone else.

The reading of the indictment was stunning. With that said, I don't think a prosecutor would try to do that in today's court system. To bring a defendant out of his cell and read a chilling indictment in front of him with TV cameras rolling raises the idea of poisoning the jury pool which could be taken up on appeal. Given what Bundy had been accused of at that time, I would not want to give his defense ammunition to use on appeal.

Today he wouldn’t even be able to kill more than 2 women before being in handcuffs, he benefited completely from incompetent law enforcement, nothing he did was clever. The fact that he got arrested in another state while being in the FBI’s top 10 most wanted and yet it took until 2 weeks into his arrest to find out he was a wanted man in 2 other states. That would never happen today

@@clc-gl4jn you’re allowed to defend yourself. Darrel Brooks was free to roam, and this other black man with wild hair who, I believe, murdered his children, also roamed freely in the court- and he was brushing bizarrely as he interrogated the witnesses and spoke to the juror. It’s his right.

Not once did he care about his victims,God Bless them and their family members , I bet till this day they are paying for his brutality. I think the judge was too lenient with him. He got a fair trial and he got what was coming his way. Anyway that’s my opinion. BTW even the judge had to hold back at times, “don’t point your finger at me son” , by the looks of things.
