I admire her strength but, sadly I don’t think this sicko cares. A manipulator, narcissistic person doesn’t receive confrontations etc they are pros at blocking the reality they are so weak that they actually are protecting themselves by avoiding the truth. They never admit or tell the truth and if they do, it’s just to manipulate you because they know what you want to hear. In reality they are not acknowledging the pain they cause because, they still want to control and protect themselves from the truth. They don’t feel bad about your pain because, then that will force them to look at themselves and they would never go there. It’s all control! I know this behavior so well I went to therapy because, I was a victim of a narcissist person one of the worst ones. I hear this brave girl and think, why sweetie why, waste your energy. He’s a sicko you think he has empathy, NO! No one will change them if he had empathy, etc he would never have done what he did. I think maybe it helps the victim more to confront them maybe it gives them power at least in Hope the evil one feels regret or whatever but, they don’t. I wouldn’t want to revisit and waste my breath on that person who hurt me, what for? I would help put them in jail but, wouldn’t waste my breath with a speech it doesn’t define bravery. Bravery is just the fact that you survived it, and you fought for justice. Because these nut jobs will not ever think like a normal person so a speech is kinda pointless

After physical bullying of 3 vs 1 in school I became very angry, for the next 3 years of my life I kept fighting against myself in my head that I was eating shit during every meal. While eating tomato or chilli sauce I fought against myself in my head that I was eating menstrual period blood. During EVERY single second of those 3 years I also kept fighting against myself in my head that the bullies were sodomizing me and my family members. Even going to other schools didn't resolve this mental torture because the anger was still there. As a result I severely couldn't concentrate during exams and classes. I am still having self esteem issues 14 years on from the incident. I went to army and didn't do some admin work due to fighting myself in my head and army people thought I was lazy and thus bullied me as well. This is why I have zero sympathies and zero tolerance for bullies. I am 33 years old and don't even have a first girlfriend, partly sabotaged due to bullying, masturbating to myself everyday like a loser. I have also missed out on $400,000++ of opportunity cost in earnings from jobs. I went to teach the bullies a lesson by cyberbullying/harassing them online, the bullies were so "strong" until they went to call the police LOL, but like I mentioned above, I have zero regrets and I don't see it as something wrong because I went to the police and they said they could do nothing about it, plus because I was teaching them a lesson :) When I finally cried after 3 years due to constantly fighting against myself in my head it was an outbreak of tears across my whole face, it was so bad until my mucus reached my forehead. Please spread on this comment so that people can know how serious the aftermath of bullying is and have lesser cases of bullying in the future.

This girl is so so selfless. You can hear, just by the trembling in her voice that she is... emotional. Her heart is pounding and I hear only her determination, staving off her tears in order to tell her story. Asking the person who took from her to give back, as her first address to him, demanding he pay some sort of fee in her own way. Not that that would make any difference in what happened to her, or any of the women and children who survived his abuse.

She is strong, a survivor and extremely courageous. That is a hallmark of a survivor. Plus, there was no bitterness or hatred in her. She knew what forgiveness was [because god teaches us to forgive our enemies], and was very articulate. She did a very remarkable job, even for someone at 15 years old. However, for Nassar, it will be for god to decide whether he can be forgiven or not, because to be honest, he doesn't even know what that word means. Nor does he have the strength or guts to show what kind of person he could actually be. Sure, he wrote a letter because he knew what was coming, but it'd take a lot more than that just to ask for forgiveness. Emma not only wrote it, but was also very open about her feelings towards Nassar. She hopes that her impact statement would help him realize how much pain and suffering he has caused towards her and the other women he has sexually molested [so that he could find it in him to see what really went wrong, why he did what he did and why was he not held accountable for these allegations from the very start]. She was molested in a supply room and was scared. I am glad to hear her confront him in a civilized manner, outlining what his true fate is and what it should be, despite her being his last victim, out of the very many women, whom he sexually abused. I mean, Nassar was a trusted doctor, a respected member of both USA Olympic board and Michigan State, and someone who was supposed to care and help athletes who were hurt and injured, but he violated these principles, by sexually abusing them, day in and day out, [and yet, nobody, incl. USA Gymnastics, USOC and Michigan State, lifted a finger], which really makes me feel sad and emotionally scarred to hear these ladies talk about the abuse. I am proud of Emma for speaking up like that. It really takes a look of courage to actually speak out bravely against someone who has treated you in such a way. Most people, incl. low-lives, like this monster here, don't have a clue what that means. I wish this girl the best of luck in her education as well as everything else in life, including her book she looks forward to writing. It really seems like a great title and I wish both her and family a remarkable journey towards recovery and healing. And also, good luck with the suit, which I hope will bring those who should've acted against the abuse, accountable. If it was someone I knew [or someone I know], I would have done the same. I also would've loved to write about my experiences about that, too.

He could not take her brilliance and influence away from her! Such an inspiration. I cannot image what it’s like to be that brave and talk infront of this man and the public. Thank you for your testimony.

"Don't tell us how you and god have made amends, or how you are different." The look she gives him at that point is absolutely chilling. 4:18

Wish the video would show his face, to see him being broken down.

Six Official Music he would have that same idiotic look he had when he got sentenced. He doesn’t have guilt for what he did to the girls, just guilt he got caught. In my honest opinion

He's a sick narcissistic man. I don't think he was broken down by any of it. He was only sorry he was caught.

If you see his sentencing video, you'll notice a strange look on his face He's unaffected. I think he had some mental issue, his behavior wasn't normal for sure

As a grown man with nieces who I have loved so much, I can only feel awful watching these young women speak out against this monster. He should have gotten worse. He should have been sentenced to life with no parole. I attended MSU grad school (didn't graduate) but now never say that in public. I'm ashamed of MSU and the US criminal justice system. As far as this young woman's speech? Remarkable. She can do great things.
