I'm a hard core conservative and lifetime Republican but this moment here will forever earn President Obama my respect for how he gave my home city hope and strength again during our darkest hour. This was, in my opinion: his 2nd greatest speech after his address to the nation following Bin Laden's death. (Side note: at 18:31 Obama calls it: Red Sox won the World Series that year and the Bruins came within 2 games of a Stanley Cup) lol

The President gives a speech in a prayer service for those affected by a terrorist act, and some people still cant help but take it as an opportunity to say that Obama is the face of cruelty and evil. That's whats wrong with this country, not the guy in the White House. Hes the best orator we've had in the White House in decades. Why not admire his good qualities instead of bring up more unnecessary negativity. #BostonStrong

I thought this was a fabulous speech spiritedly delivered by a President I admire. This was a unique speech written only yesterday specifically for the people of Boston by a speech writer born at St. Margaret's Hospital in Dorchester, MA. He wrote it from his heart, with his own 8y.o. son & 5y.o. daughter in mind. Put your nastiness away. Today was about the optimism & strength that healing & recovery brings. Have to say that even to this day my heart is with the people of Boston and that if I was him when he says in his speech not here in Boston a couple times I would have amended that to say not here in Boston not here in this country.
