I've been saying the same for a while. ECW was effectively producing two different shows during this time, Hardcore TV & ECW on TNN, since "The Network" wouldn't allow what ECW 100% wanted for it's usual syndicated programming, so it'd be interesting to see a spin-off series that compares both of ECW's shows every week for the 1+ years that ECW on TNN was a thing, if only so that we can all see why Paul Heyman went ballistic on TNN in that infamous shoot promo.

I don’t mind him as the Chosen One. It’s an annoying heel gimmick that properly elevates him. But he was so overexposed all over the show, and putting him in the nWo was needless.

It doesn't help he was booked to look like an idiot with constant losses on PPV and TV. If he had been booked more consistently as a cowardly heel champion who constantly retained the title through cheating, interference, and preferential treatment, he could have generated heat and been effective. As it stands Jeff could talk and his matches with DDP, Benoit, Flair, Booker T and Sting were good. He was as much a victim of WCW's terrible, illogical booking as anyone and gets an unfair hard time from people IMO
