Reliving The War takes an in-depth look at the WWF vs WCW Monday Night War that took place from the mid 90s to the early 2000s. Raw and Nitro aired at the same time on Monday Nights, and fans had to choose which show they would watch; this resulted in both WCW and WWF putting out some of their best shows possible as pro wrestling became an extremely popular form of mainstream entertainment.
We're a few days away from the 1997 Royal Rumble and the WWF use this episode of Raw to do some final promotional work for the pay per view. Sycho Sid and Shawn Michaels discuss their upcoming main event match while in San Antonio, and we also see The Undertaker, Rocky Maivia, Triple H and Goldust in action.
Over on TNT, WCW Nitro is held in the New Orleans Superdome infront of a record audience (at the time). Hollywood Hulk Hogan is back in action when he takes on The Giant in the main event, and Diamond Dallas Page has to make a decision; will he accept The Outsider's offer and join the nWo? Elsewhere on the show, The Four Horsemen continue to have problems, Lex Luger continues to get great ovations, and we also see a Scotty Riggs vs Billy Kidman match.
