What i love most about your videos is your honesty and your willingness to find things out the hard way in order to help the community avoid these issues. A lot of people on forums and comments like to sound like they know everything, yet most often don’t put out the content. Thanks for always being willing to share your experiences.

Another thing to keep in mind when upgrading slave/master is that these clutch pedals tend to break where they are welded at from the factory. I welded those spots to reinforce it more or just have an extra pedal just in case lol love the content brother keep it up! Rebuilding my Si from the ground up!

@@Rawrkee the problem with the revs are related with the throttle body,if you cleaned it,or pushed the throttle valve with hand or any other thing with it,now you have to do reset and relearn of throttle position procedure with OBD ll reader,ThingDiag Elite is the cheapest one and gets the job done(80 bucks) 🙂👍 Good luck ✌️ o and i to have a Honda Civic sedan

Can you possibly share some information of the clutch pedal adjustment and mm specifications for Si from your civic service manual (clutch pedal height, disengagement height, stroke, etc.)? A pic or quick vid would be awesome.
@paulbutterfield893 жыл бұрын
Did you remove battery for this? Normally after removing battery you have to let the car idle and get warm until fans kick in. This is the re learn for all the idles and everything usually :) can sometimes cause high idle until everything settles
@Rawrkee3 жыл бұрын
yeah, I removed the battery but I didn't let it idle till the fans kicked on. However, I did drive it across town and it's still having high revs after each gear >_

@@Rawrkee might be worth removing it for 30 mins and then refitting. Letting it sit to learn everything and see if that solves the high revs issue dude. Least you can rule that out :)

You have to bleed the slave cylinder also. By pressing it in open the drain bolt. Close the drain bolt then release the slave. About 6 times.

"Been a minute since I drove the civic, been down 3 days now...." Mine has been sitting in the barn for 5 months now.... I installed a new CMC and Slave, new slave blew out as I was installing it, got a replacement, wrong part, got another one, installed, now when I start the car it immediately starts grinding.... Gonna try and adjust the clutch pedal, if that doesn't work looks like I'm pulling it back out and bench bleeding....ugh. Last time I work on my own car. Taking it to the mechanic after this crap.

Hook that hose to your bleeder n drop other end in bottle of brake fluid. Fill the clutch master. Press clutch in m out 15 or more times .. Fill clutch master Repeat at least 4 to 5 times . Do not leat master run dry during process. Your shit will be perfect

Sup guys hopefully ya’ll see this soon. I swapped out both the cmc and slave and benched bled both. I have pressure to my clutch now, but i still cant engage into ANY gear. I did check the pedal bracket and is good from what i can see. I’m going to change my clutch hoping its that. Any suggestions? Cables look good as well, new slave and cmc like i said. Bro the reason why it still revs while u push in the clutch in is called rev hang. It’s a system that Honda has in the 8th gen where the clutch has a delay to the disengagement of the clutch but that can be solved by hondata

Having the same issue with my 07 si, first i thought it was the fluid which i did change/flush/bleed twice, first time it was extremely dark fluid but it did fixed it a little bit but it was back, the grinding and locking out of gears so i did it again and it worked for one or two days but now it is really bad like cant even get into any gear without forcing it so I orderd the k tuned cmc and slave, gonna be here by next month till then I guess no more driving lol.
