KYRIE IRVING A.K.A KYGOAT SWIRVING I didn't get mad. But it's totally different. Ray wasn't a priority for Boston to sign. They signed everyone else first. KD was the franchise player who lost after being up 3-1 and he didn't close out the series well. Then he jumps to their team. Then folks find out that the GSW were talking to him the whole time. That's completely different.

Allen knew what he was doing when he signed to take less money and take on a lesser role in Mia. I don't hold that against him cause a lot of guys get competitively soft at that point in their career and become ring chasers. I don't feel sorry for him getting trashed on by all the other celtics cause he knew that was gonna be the price for another championship. Allen didn't get it nearly as bad as KD so he's just wants his cake and to eat it too at this point.

Yup, I totally understand why he left. They were all getting old, and Ray knew that their window was closing. Unfortunately for the Celtics, KG's injury In 09 is what squandered the possibility of a 3 peat. There's a good chance that Celtics team would have won 4 championships had Garnett not gotten hurt. But once Miami got LeBron, it was pretty much game over.

The Celtics organization disrespected Ray Allen pretty much his entire tenure there after they won. They tried to trade him three times. They tried to make him come off the bench for Avery friggin Bradley? Ray has been nothing but class personified. Also, the Heat and Celtics were never rivals. Ray has my respect.
@PGO_Gaming
@PGO_Gaming 6 жыл бұрын
Elan Smith Avery friggin Bradley was and still is an elite defensive guard that set the tone with his defense. Ray still got minutes, just not as much.Rondo was also constantly in trade talks and he never complained. How Ray Allen comes off in the media has no bearing as to whether he is a classy individual or not. Fact remains, he left a team in Boston, to play for a Miami team they had fought and scrapped against for much less money. And he left without even telling anyone. It's a snake move.

Ray did this to himself. Rondo beef with him started where Ray's decline physically started to show not being reliable on defense and Rondo wanted Young kid Avery Bradley to take Ray's minutes. This was around KG's injury in which Rondo went in trying to fill the void in the lockeroom being that voice. Ray thought Pierce and KG was supposed to have his back vs Rondo where how could they if you was never close to them like brothers to begin with? His seclusion lead to Rondo taking his spot on the Big 3 that was in Boston. He felt like he was bitter and betrayed so he went and join Miami to get back at them. His seclusion in Boston lead to his downfall with the team and he was too proud to admit that. Him joining Miami set off Pierce and KG the wrong way on how they saw Ray.

Considering that the Celtics tried to trade him multiple times, no wonder why Ray Allen felt betrayed that he's considered as the least important of the 'Big 3', an expendable. And for his former Celtics teammates to not even invite him to the 10th anniversary celebrations, that's low from guys like Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett.

But now he acts like he the victim. Talk about bullshit.

I grew up around the Celtics when the Big 3 came together. Every year it felt like goal number 1 was win the chip, goal number 2 was beat Kobe and goal number 3 was beat Lebron. When Ray left the Celtics and joined the Heat it felt like a betrayal by him to chase the ring even if it meant making it harder on everyone who’d been on that mission with him the last couple years. Thats why KG Paul and Rondo are hurt, Ray just jumped ship to the rivals and the fans and the team felt caught off guard.

Moe Skeetz this guy went directly to the the enemy and called it a Buisness decision. Yes it was the best move for Ray personally, it was still a stab to his teammates. He knows exactly why they have a problem.

@@micaheldey1981 he had every right to... It wasn't like Boston wanted to keep him anyway. The put dude on the trade block for 2 straight years and benched him in his last year with them. Only a dummy like you would stay, lol.

Fong calling me a dummy just showed your true nature. Keyboard warrior. You would never do that face to face with me. It’s a Buisness for the owners and Managment, for the players it’s deeper. They can be upset when you leave and go to war with a player that took you out, it’s obvious you can’t understand that. Yes he had the right, he also has to deal with the aftermath of his decision. As far as KD it’s not even close, Ray had a Chip with the BC. Leaving to go to the over stacked Heat was crushing for the team. It didn’t further his legacy, only helped Bron. You are clearly a Bron fan boi and love it.

As a Celtics fan of that group particularly, it's tough to be hearing all this. But I do agree, it seems the ego of some of the others and Ray's almost lack thereof has set them back
