KG and Allen in their prime would have been exciting and had they brought a pg like Jason Kidd to run the show they would have won some championships. @8301TheJMan3 жыл бұрын
@@dntbill914 That's true for the Lakers maybe, but not the Bulls in the late 90's. The Bulls were actually not that much deeper though than the Bucks back then. They had an aging Jordan and Pippen, who weren't that much better than Big Dog and Allen, and then Kukoc, Longly, and Harper, (who was a shadow of his former self when he was with the Clippers in the early 90's and even less so when compared to the player he was with the Cavs). I take your point though about not having enough to win it all in the late 90's, but they eventually certainly did a couple years later, (or at the very least were damn close). After all, in 2001 they finished 1st in the Central Division and got all the way to the Eastern Conference finals and lost in 7 games to the Sixers. That year aside for Robinson and Allen, they also had Tim Thomas, (who was absolutely unstoppable with enormous potential and was limited only by his poor work ethic, lack of consistent assertiveness, and of course the fact he was playing third fiddle to G-Rob and Ray Allen), Sam Cassell who was playing at All-Star level and scored nearly 20 ppg that year, and Lindsey Hunter who was putting up double figures off the bench. Then in 2002 they added even more pieces, (Anthony Mason and Michael Redd), and had plenty of talent to at least get to the championship series that year if it wasn't both both Robinson and Allen going down to injuries and with each missing nearly a quarter of the season, which kept them outa the playoff for the first time in a few years.
@dntbill9143 жыл бұрын
@@8301TheJMan I respect all this and your knowledge ‼️💯 but regardless of what age anyone was on the Bulls, they ran the entire 90s when MJ played. That’s all they needed. When he went to baseball they couldn’t win. The first year he came back right before the playoffs they didn’t make it happen but we all know why and they 3 peat after that.. if the team didn’t get dismantled by management, they would’ve walked out of the 90s as champions for 98-99 season and possibly the 99-2000 season. They were that good.. and even if The bucks made it a finals in the early 2000s they wasn’t beating the lakers bro. We all know this. That team was too deep and too talented. All Championships teams have that one X factor and for the lakers it was Shaq. Shaq going down would be the only chance anyone wouldn’t beat them at THAT time. After he got a little older and out of shape then that was a different story until he went to Miami and had something back. I respect that Bucks team but that was never a championship team in my opinion. I don’t think any team with Ray Allen as the face could’ve won and that’s jus me knowing basketball. He needed to be that second/3rd option respectfully 💯 nothing against him.
