I wish they worked better for me. I originally bought the larger frame with the dark gray lenses. But I found the frames to be slipping down and having to adjust often just from minor face oil/sweat and scrunching my nose, which I would often because the lenses just aren't tinted dark enough for me, and I think the extra weight/bulk doesn't help. So I returned them and bought the normal frame with transition green lenses. While they never slid down at all, they would he uncomfortable after like half an hour due to being too tight, so sold them to a friend. Another problem is the transition lenses had a ton of glare when clear, made looking at any screen or light source have tons of lense flares, especially at night. Given the smart nature of these, you'll want to use them not just outside on sunny days, but at night, indoors, and while using your phone. But for that it needs to transition and have no glare.

I am planning on getting these in Transition with prescription lenses and will be able to use my HSA to cover the $500 cost. That's one option if you need prescription glasses.

One of the coolest reviews for these that I've seen yet. Love the mic to the arm to be able to hear exactly what you were as well. I just received my first pair today and have been playing with them all afternoon. I've got the Matte frames right now but after your video and looking at some other product shots in more detail I'm thinkin' that Shiny might be the way to go..... Decisions decisions.

I agree it's so much faster and convenient to take photos and videos with these glasses. I have a separate Playlist on my KZbin channel for videos shot on my RayBan Meta glasses. The only downside, though, is the battery life, which I find too short.

@@LeeZavitz Yes, in order to use vision insurance, you need to get prescription lenses. I wear contacts now, so I will be having the optician swap out the lenses to non prescription sunglass lenses when they arrive.

I got my Ray-Ban Meta (prescribed) last Friday (October 25th) as I had my Ray-Ban Stories (gen 1) for 2 years. I was due for an update. Wearing gen 2 fits fine than gen 1 as it was loose at times. I find I have trouble positioning where to shoot the photos. I haven't done videos yet.

It would work, but you would have to cover the sensor that makes you think you are wearing them. Usually a piece of tape works. Someone did show it in a video somewhere, but I couldn’t tell you who.

I love mine, but I noticed that nearly ALL 256GB on my phone storage were used up by the Meta app...once I deleted the app, I nearly had ALL of my memory back on my phone...anyone else with this issue?

A friend of mine was attacked for wearing these recently. The glasses were swiped off his face and thrown into the river below. Certainly made me think twice about buying a pair. Maybe they could conceal the lens behind a polarised filter?
