Brilliant! It's the occasional gem such as this that makes my forlorn 'rockabilly' KZbin searches worth while. I'm a lifelong Rollin Rock rockabilly fool and I've never seen this video before. Rockin' Ron Weiser going ape on the dance floor has got to be the ultimate marque of cool for a performance video.

You can show this to your grandchildren and say - Hey you kids, come and look at this ... That's how you'll end up if you don't work hard at school. Hoho! Good for you, Squiddo - forever young. I popped in to see my mother earlier and had cause to recall a 40-mile bus trip, as a teenager, to see my father. It took every penny I had on me and I was obligated to redeem the return trip that same day. Walking through town with the old fella and he noticed someone 'calling' across the road from a second floor window. There was a 20-strong contingent of my rockin' rollin' pals passing time in a cafe above a market. Dad told me to go and join them but I insisted that I'd gone down there to see him. He double and triple-insisted, I relented and joined up with the posse. After a little cafe lounging, off to a pub for the afternoon, all round to one of the cats' parents' house (they were away on holiday), grabbed a few vinyl scratchies, headed to a club and got the DJ to play a few of our tunes, a bit of a jig and much howlin' and wailin', we were eventually asked to leave - not on grounds of noise or spectacle but on the technicality of taking our own booze to a licenced premises ... It would be remiss of me not to mention there might have been a little damage on the way out which I'm not particularly proud of now ... Possibly more than a little ... Back to Chez Absent Parents for a rock n roll party. Woke up to the logistical quandary of a 40-mile return trip with no money. Here I feel obliged to spare you the mundane detail of how that was realised. Suffice to say the inconvenience quotient has faded into the ether while the howlin' and wailin' and movin' and groovin' lives on in kaleidoscopic, technicolour memory. And no one can take that away from you.
