Ray fishing with Stevi Raka silloth prom

What kinda starter rig /rod /reel would you use on the prom... Just newbies... What do you catch there mackerel & bass...

Are you local if so can let you know where to go for tackle, I use a 2 hook flapper/2 hook flatty or pully rig fosh you'll get varys but mainly get thornback rays get the odd bass and flattie and towards winter maybe a cod or 2 get the usual comming in now and then like dog fish ext not sure about Mackrell and all that as iv never targeted them

@@Jason-uk9cx Carlisle, we just had a break in Seahouses and fancied the idea as a way to relax , saw a few rigs but lots to learn from rods, reels to line, rigs to bait... Minefield... More to it than I thought

@@this_is_SpartAAAAA I'm in Carlisle too just pop into geoff wilsons and they'll soon get you set up with a cheap starter rig they do a sea rod and reel for 37 quid best going with pully rigs mainly round here, bait isn't best at geoffs only have frozen but Maryport aquarium has good live bait aswell normally so I head there for bait then go out you can also dig lug worm at beckfoot if you fancy that but if going for bass use lug worm or crab if going for rays use strip of Mackrell or bluey size of your thumb roughly
