He's At Gun Point I am so happy y'all covered this portion of the movie it gets me all the time. I battle with why he didn't do it as soon as the got back to the camp?! Why wait another day?! That should have been handled immediately. That could have possibly saved his life he died of guilt and shame. The ending was bitter sweet. They made it out but they were old. No children no family. They deserved vindication. Especially how many times they tried to escape. The same guard that was still with them when he was younger should have been the one coming to them to tell them that they were free to go.

The toe in the bottle was an amazing scene. That was totally improvised. But that was also the scene that made me just smile happy tears. It was great to see Ray and Claude become friends again.

Full Meal Jacket would be outstanding. Especially comparing Snowball to Furious Styles and understanding the impact of Vietnam on Black service members!

@@AxiomAmnesia I will tell you this. This has ALOT in common with The Shawshank Redemption. The friendship between Andy and Red. Juxtaposed against the friendship between Claude and Ray. The fact that 3 of these characters were imprisoned unjustly and falsely. And that these men under the craziest of circumstances developed lasting friendships and brotherhood. ❤❤❤😊

I also love old folks as best friends fussing with each other. I love how these two play off each other. Can we just say how great Martin is? He’s able to play off of Eddie, a legend, and Will Smith as well.

Not to mention the Superintendent Wilkins knows Ray and Claude. And the reaction lets him know there is truth. Plus Claude humanized himself and Ray to Wilkins as well. The passage of time between their changing jobs to this point, it’s assumed it’s been a few months. Plus Pike essentially admitted it. Wilkins is depicted as a good man.
