Radio broadcaster Ray Hadley has called for Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to spend more than five hours in the Northern Territory and speak to business owners about “the basket case that is Alice Springs”.
Mr Hadley said the Prime Minister is so “enraptured” by the Voice, it doesn’t suit his narrative to address the issues in the Northern Territory.
“Even Labor MP Marion Scrymgour is saying today, ‘we have got to change it’,” he told Sky News host Paul Murray.
“She’s calling for the change, and the best he can do, the Prime Minister, is say, ‘well, I respect her, I’m going to talk to her very soon about what she wants’.”
