By listening to this I can tell that he definitely understands music he just HAS TO GET ON TOP OF THOSE NOTES. To me it's not that he can't sing its that he hasn't been working on it. You have to be practicing, taking vocal lessons, resting, eating the right Foods, getting your nerves in check,.....etc.... for these performances. You can't be out here winging it...or you will be pitchy like this.

Lot of folks hating on Ray J and I am not a big fan by any means. Saying he can't sing is not factual. There are levels to it. Is he Brian McKnight or Michael Jackson nope. You work it with what you got and some with lesser voices can make more appealing music than others with bigger voices. Presentation and delivery is big but you have to have a level of ability to sing perform and memorizing all the songs not just anyone can do it. He was good enough to get in the studio and came out with some bangers. I'll vibe on his joint" what I need"

@@nekialovelight4788 Energy always the same don't mean I'll like it. I have no allegiance to Brandy. Can care less. There are folks who can sing their ass off and I may not like it. I recognize they can sing. Comes down to the appeal and the vibe. Ray has some tracks with good vibes.

Keep that same energy with up and coming artists. JJ Ice Fish's "On the floor" was a sexy ass hit. Especially when I heard someone sing it who could sing. You don't have to like it, I'm just saying there are a lot of people who can write and sing and no one is checking for them like Brandy's brother.

@@nekialovelight4788 kzbin.info/www/bejne/m56scnl6gqx-pNE Watch that performance rather you like it or not and tell me he can't sing? He killed this performance again I'm not a huge Ray J fan but the dude CAN sing. My dudes like jagged edge Donell Jones..Yes Ray had some shaky performances but he is not only on just because Brandy is his sister. I wouldn't be on if she was my sister and I get compliments at karaoke lol huge difference professional. It's like the dudes on the couch who think they could play in the NBA and bench players who never play will destroy a regular person and prep and college players get annihilated by retired washed up former NBA bench warmers. Keep it funky tho and tell me he didn't get that live in the link. He starts singing at like 1:35.

I don’t know why people are clowning this performance. It’s pretty solid. I mean, it’s not the best vocals I’ve ever heard in my life, but it’s not the Versuz performance either.

I guess everybody should've watched this before verzuz... That man sound the exact same - voice never changed... I think our ears must have just gotten wiser. 😂😂😂😂
