Danny Sugerman would leave this world less than ten years after this was recorded dying at age 50 on Jan. 5th. 2005 but Ray would live on another eight years until passing May 20, 2013 age 74!

Ray was a great steward for Jims legacy. I can see the brotherly love he had for Jim throughout his interviews. The Doors are a phenomenon and unique among their peers. Much love and gratitude to enjoy this great band.

Jim was blessed musically. As he and other Doors members have put it, Jim had a concert in his head. I've heard John Densmore say that Jim told him he used melodies to help him remember his lyrics from that concert in his head. Even though he didn't play an instrument other than his voice and a tiny bit of piano, Jim was incredibly gifted musically.

You mention "Yes there are things we know and there are things that we don't know" very true, & strange you should say that as when I lived in America from '77-'84, I NEVER once heard about Jim Morrison's Father being part of the "Establishment" as a Rear Admiral for The United States Navy and responsible for the Gulf of Tonkin false flag. I and others now know that the "Hippie's" which as Dave McGowan revealed in his best selling book "Weird Scenes Inside The Canyon" Laurel Canyon,Covert Ops & The Dark Heart Of The Hippie Dream" were nothing more than a cultural construct created by the CIA to derange and entire generation w/ the American war in Vietnam and mind warping psychosis inducing drugs norrmalised and used by the "Rockstar's" of this era. That statement makes no logical sense. Why would the US government want to "derange" an entire generation as it needs soldiers to fight in Vietnam? I don't really see '60s era bureaucrats as influential trend setters in pop culture, either. I can't see any motive for any of this, ignoring the logistical impossibility of such a campaign, either.

Probably in1977 John, Robby & Ray were recording 'An American Prayer', since it was released in 1978.

I’m curious if Robbie wrote most of the lyrics to his own initiative work since I heard Robbie and Morrison were the two initiators when it came too song writing while every member was in charge of the creativity of their own instrument for the most part?

Id seen where this guy named bill Loyer In Oregon was Jim and he was interested in seeing ray but Danny put an end to that. The guy even looks like Jim That supposedly was in 2008 I think

An American prayer should be released minus the music, Danny was fairly wrong to say Jim didn't complete anything without out the rest of the band as the spoken word stuff was never supposed to have the band's music to it, Paul Rothschild said it was the rape of Jim Morrison and I can't help but feel it was just cashing in

Morrison was no more a "poet" than the man in the moon. He'd jam a chaotic jumble of acid fueled words together, with little to no meaning, if any intelligence, and people said it was "deep". It wasn't. It was shallow. And these two guys know it. But they play along for the money. Ha, ha, ha! I don't blame them. Why not? But Morrison was rather pitiful in the lyrics department. Art? Not! LSD word scramble? Yep.

Steve McCormick he'd been writing poetry since high school, at least, but probably much longer before then. Long before he ever left his strict home and tried LSD. So I give his works more credit than just the LSD or other psychedelics

fernando lopez - every schmoe who could hold a pencil called himself a "poet". I know as I was there and saw it all around me. It was "the thing" everyone thought was cool. Bob Dylan more or less made it the rage as he was given so much media attention and money by the oligarch controlled press, magazines, and television. So it was"monkey see monkey do" for all kinds of young people who figured if Bob Dylan's drivel was "deep", important, and got him so much fame, money, etc. then they could do it too. Morrison was one of many. Only problem was they didn't have the backing of the well-oiled money machine of our controllers. The elites used the likes of Dylan and Morrison to mislead and destroy 3-4 generations of young people. With drug use, nonsensical lyrics of moronic simplicity, and loud beating electronic sounds posing as music, it made irrational idiots out of scores of unsuspecting victims.

Charles Atwood - because I had no idea of what or how was going on around me at the time. I only knew on a gut level that something was stinky. I was one of the fortunate young people that didn't fall hook line and sinker for the hoax. I dabbled, but knew something was hinky about it all, so I held back. I'll be the first to say I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Since those times "way back then" I've come to understand, as you say, on a "deeper" level, that we were all tricked by a contrived long range plan of social engineering, into the next level of debasement that has helped give us today's lovely society. I learned about this from others, far more intelligent than little old me. Is that a problem? Look at the written lyrics of Morrison's songs. Childish drivel for the most. The owner of the Whiskey a GoGo, where the Doors were the house band, laughingly describes their music as "a carnival sound". That sums it up. A carnival sound (the keyboard WAS like a merry-go-round) with goofy lyrics. Deep eh? There you have it.

All this sounds like to me is hate. His music and poetry isnt for anymore as other poets aren't for me, yes some songs a bit wacky (still amazing songs) but its just a different piont of view, perception. The doors. What would you consider poetry? As you said anyone with a pencil is a poet. "Youll be dead in hell before im born" great line from Jim as many others. Their music was and is great. Just never seen do much hate for The Doors
