This HAS to be an American thing. 'Everybody loves Raymond' is very funny, I like it - I imagine it has many many many many writers (particularly compared to British sitcoms - which by the way have been ripped off to make some of the most popular US sitcoms of all time - yep, ripping off the Brits) This stand-up shit is terrible - really unfunny - so clinical, utterly un-daring and boring.
