Wow!! So great that he went for it/directed it, too. Such a big challenge on its own, let alone when you're also acting/starring in it. Hair color goes a long way. He was letting his hair go gray many years ago and was definitely showing his age. Now, he's gone to fully coloring his hair and beard. Nothing wrong with that. Just noting that's why he's looking a bit more youthful.
