I saw Portishead when they toured the US for their second LP ('98 maybe?) and it was probably the best show I've ever seen. I've NEVER heard better sound; their setup was completely custom, and the cabinets were all sorts of weird Tetris-like shapes. Rumor had it they were blowing curcuit breakers at the smaller clubs they were going to at the time. They nailed every song and Beth probably smoked two packs of cigarettes over the course of the 2 hour show. Unforgettable show, unbelievable band.

Welcome to mid-to-late ‘90s trip-hop, born you might say in Britain, I can’t remember the name of the town. But it spawned the biggest trip-hop acts, such as Tricky, Massive Attack and Portishead. Apparently as a unique genre its time was short-lived; a pity. I like it enough that I’d want this style of music to never die.

Alright, let's go: In the first place you can see the context of this song, a woman who has suffered several disappointments in love and is trying to move on alone and seeing Beth Gibbons with a cigarette in her hand and smoking live on stage was unprecedented in live shows it was unprecedented, at least for me, I don't know for those of you who are reading this comment, anyway the music and the reaction were magnificent as always and you are always beautiful Rachael, if I could recommend a song I would The Call of The Mountains by the band Eluveltie, it's an excellent song and I think you'll like it and that's all Rachael, keep up the work you're doing and greetings from Brazil to you! 💚💛💚💛
