Greetings everybody, I really wish I could come back after a month long absence with a titanic super video, but unfortunately the past month was a tsunami of errors, such as… -A dying microphone -Bricked computer -Broken wheel -Amazon delays -Deleted script -Another broken wheel It was the perfect concoction of poor management, human error, and bad luck. I take full responsibility as I should have the backup plan, schedule, and willpower to deal with challenges like these, I simply didn’t, and I apologize. As things are still being brought back to order, I won’t guarantee specific upload dates but the computer & microphone are back to form. I’m also going to slow down, or at the very least, plan ahead for videos requiring multiple games as they take far more time making than I anticipate. Thank you for sticking around, whether you’re donating, sharing, and/or watching, I’m always grateful.

The first 2 mentions of Outrun Coast to Coast and F355 Challenge made me so nostalgic of my childhood lmao. I was around 8-9yo when I first saw those 2 games in basically any mall arcades in Vietnam. Outrun was always the center of the attention - great cars (cuz Ferrari!), great music, great gameplay. Everyone wanted to play it, from young kids like me to parents to guys who tried the best to woo their date by winning the game (that has the main objective of wooing their virtual date lol). F355 Challenge was intimidating to say the least because it’s really damn hard to control the car. I remember crying and giving up because I spun out of a corner too often, or got push to the wall and just stopped. One thing for sure tho, whenever someone started a race in F355 Challenge, everyone in the arcade would instantly noticed. Thanks for the vid!

As a fan of racing games, one thing that always makes me happy watching your videos, especially given the sheer number and variety of games you've played, is how much thought, care, research and overall lack of bias you give to the genre. Racing games have always been treated as a niche within the industry (to be fair, they kinda are), and in my experience racing games fans are usually left by the wayside in discussions (bonus point if you're like me and love nothing but racers and CoD/Battlefield). You racing videos really shine a new and all encompassing light on this genre, which is awesome. It's also fun to see the issues and faults that you notice in these games, which for me ranges from "I'm not alone!" to "...I can't believe I never noticed that." Once again, cheers for this content, and hope you can get things back in order... ...because you're totally gonna make a video about Porsche & gaming, right? (/selfish asshole).

3:41 I'd know that arcade layout anywhere! I absolutely love galloping ghosts. I lived in the motel next to the arcade for about a week (worst motel I've ever stayed in) due to being homeless from the housing crisis from 2021. I went to galloping ghosts pretty much every day while my dad was at work, and I'd stay there for a few hours before coming home due to how terribly hot it gets in there especially in July. I wish I could go back there more, but I live further north and it's about an hour long drive to there, plus it gets way too packed on weekends so it's not worth the drive for that. My favorite games to play there were definitely ninja Baseball Batmen, the AVP beat em up, and the star wars pod racing game. Definitely miss my time there

Its great to hear a in-depth analysis about racing games from a channel that also looks at other, more "popular" and "usual" kinds of games that gaming channels talk about. Usually, gamers are ironic narcisists when it comes to playing more realistic racing games, because they don't care about cars or racing. So then racing gamers usually get put aside, just as sports-game gamers. In my opinion, these kind of people miss the challenges of dominating a car/course through persistence, just like any kind of difficult game. Or maybe they just suck at driving. So they get bitter and mock driving/sports games all they can. I think thats the case.

You scratch at the overall problem with Ferrari which is that they are so far up their own ass. I used to work for exotic car dealers and the culture within Ferrari was always insufferable to deal with. I'm 14 and I grew up with Porsche unleashed too man! I still have my save game with my 996 turbo that I finished at 10 yrs old hehe, I love it, my dad downloaded it into my pc when I was 8, it was the game that shaped my car enthusiast likings, and the game that has made me have a r32 gtr profile pic, my dad passed the torch to me,I'll do the same if I have a kid, but meanwhile, cheers man

Did you just say you don't care about Outrun's music? I use to start the game for the music alone.

Right? I never imagined there is a person who doesn't like the Outrun soundtrack.

Eutechnynx, the Uwe Boll of gaming.....I would say JJ Abrams but no, they just make really really really bad games and somehow fail upwards cus no matter what we think of it landing the NASCAR deal at Activision for that short run was failing upwards and how the hell as a multi billion dollar company do you frakk that up? you just took a brand from EA and you give it to a studio who just frakking failed big time??? I don't get it LMAO I could rant on em for hours, they're that bad and really should have gone bankrupt long ago....but on the other hand they haven't made a game since 2015 after their 4'th NASCAR game ,and again how did they go on to make 4 of these things....4??? SMH worst dev studio ever if i was a games pundit I'd so tear down Eutechnynx and I'd show the long list of fail lolz

@@darthXreven this but Team6 for me. Like with eutechnyx there are some things in some of their games that I don't mind. Meanwhile Team6 barfs out pure shit consistently.

Sure Ferrari has some gems, but never liked their Racing Politics behavior usually hard Denial or Childish. They are a Premium Brand already exclusive on its own. Yet they go the extra mile to be even more Anal about it. Pagani/Lamborghini/Maserati/Alfa Romeo are fare more interesting Brands from Italy.

Ferrari makes the best rent a cars. I am not kidding. Rent one for a week or just a weekend, you will enjoy it more than someone who owns one for years!

I know this is an old video, but I’d recommend you check out the Men of War series. It’s an RTS game on a much smaller scale focused on micromanagement and individual soldiers and vehicles. It is easily one of the most freeing RTS games, ranging from the freedom of the camera to how supremely easy it is to mod and make your own maps an missions. Best part? You can direct control each individual unit at the click of the button, turning it into a sorta third person shooter with more free cameras (the most recent entry to the series, Gates of Hell, allows for a full on third person shooter direct control mode on top of the freecam one, and soon they’ll add first person too). You can control everything about your unit, making tank battles engaging as you basically are suddenly playing war thunder at the click of a button. It also makes infantry a lot more accurate, allowing for more skill and precision, so if you get frustrated at your unit missing a large group of targets, you can quickly direct control them and gun the enemy down yourself with extreme efficiency. Everyone I ever recommended it to got instantly hooked even those who never played an RTS game before, to the point where they were obsessing over detailed real-world military strategies and studying the most efficient ways to buy and use units and learning the tight yet deep balance, not because they had to, but because they wanted to and were fully invested. It’s an extremely underrated and unique RTS game series, and I recommend it to literally everyone and I’ve never had someone dislike it or just find it meh.

that RTS explanation is indeed very honest and true. most people that are into RTS Games are not really into Action Games. they want to be a leader, while we enjoy being the soldiers.

This Video came exactly at the time I discovered Sim Racing so good timing on that one, I really enjoyed it. I din't know who Synetic was until you said "German Cop Drama" oh god the realization fell like scales from my eyes, I can only imagine the horrors this series has put you through. Anyone who couldn't decipher "German Cop Drama" it's of course "Alarm für Cobra 11" which is actually quite enjoyable when viewed as "we've got a strip of Autobahn (the studio actually does) explosives and a budget that is high enough to use the first 2 excessively but not high enough to hire someone beyond 3rd grade to write scripts".
