I think it was just a bit of fun on the electric violin! It’s different to an acoustic instrument. We should instead give credit for Ben from Fuse violin for getting on TV and blinging it large. I don’t think he takes himself too seriously and but rather performs to an audience for entertainment purposes. Whereas classical players are often boring. Not fair to take the piss out of him too much methinks! Electric violin is a thing and not many people succeed at crossover. I think the Fuse violin group was an exciting idea, hopefully still going. Not everyone’s cup of tea. Since then we have had Lindsey Stirling, and despite not being a top classical violinist I think she is a great entertainer and an amazing person has inspired more children to take up the violin. She isn’t Nicola Benedetti but both them are role models in a different way. Still enjoyed your video haha tho 😂

Ray...regarding the crazy goal setting....and your reference of breaking a leg and then trying to rehab by climbing Everest, well, I had to share. Although I had run 4 marathons, 21 years ago I had a massive heart attack, was dead for 2 minutes, brought back, and had double bypass surgery, where my sternum was broken. My marathon running buds visited me in the hospital, and I decided I wanted to run the marathon I was scheduled for, which was 3 months and 3 days after open heart surgery. When I got home, I couldn't make it up the stairs to my bedroom, even though I had climbed the highest mountains in the continental US. I had to let the grafts heal, and couldn't start running until 7 weeks before the marathon, but ran 26.2 miles with a broken sternum, which likely constitutes a perverse world record for running a marathon in the least amount of time from having a heart attack and open heart surgery. That crazy/insane goal literally saved my life, as it strengthened my heart. So I kind of get where Mr. Speedy is, but at least regarding the violin, maybe he should play a bit more accurately.

It's a great example of how caught up in things people can get, and it can drive them to the point of absurdity, becoming ridicule-worthy. It's always healthy to take a step back, welcome a little healthy criticism, get an outside perspective and have a laugh at ourselves. Do what makes you happy! But try to not get obsessed with numbers or competition. Bring it all back home and down to Earth now and then. Also, good luck with improving Tonic! I tried it, but it always just lagged, crashed and there were no features. If it just had some stability and quality of life like a built-in instrument tuner, I could justify using it still.
