Praise only Jesus! Respect for her music and her songs that help other women to heal, who have gone through the same abuse or abuse like hers? Absolutely! I've never heard of this artist before. She reminds me a lot of Amy winehouse. Her voice is magnificent and velvety. It's beautiful. I don't know how they do it on the Brit awards but the Grammys here in America is nothing but a stupid popularity contest that has nothing to do with talent! So in my opinion yes she should have won a couple of Grammys! I am so Taylor Swifted out I can't take it anymore. I think it's because now she's releasing her own versions of her old songs and since I was in my early twenties during the time she came out as an artist in country music everything has been about either Taylor Swift or beyoncé. I'm over it I'm ready for newcomers and the beautiful woman whom I never heard of named Rae would have been a perfect candidate to win a Grammy! Now that I'm 40 years old I don't watch these fake award shows! Everybody knows who's going to win beforehand and it's so stupid. I feel like just because you have Grammy award nominated or Grammy award winner artist next to your name means absolutely nothing! If it wasn't voted on by fans and the people. Instead it's voted on by a committee. These award shows are fake and are created for nothing other than making money off of the consumer. So I quit watching. I do love a good performance so I will go look it up the next day somewhere and find performances!

Then why is Dua lipa always nominating at any awards, Grammy, American music awards
@tylerkochman10076 ай бұрын
In part it was because “Escapism” registered on the US charts AFTER (or only shortly before) the cutoff. But this highlights a problem: the Grammy’s usually ignore foreign artists’ releases unless the chart in US market. No matter how brilliant. This was an issue I think was also evidenced in 2001, when I believe that “Can’t Get You Outta My Head” impacted the US after it was too late for its Grammy chances. Had they been paying attention to other music markets, they would have nominated it. It’s also the reason Jessie Ware’s entire body of work has been snubbed and Kylie Minogue went fifteen years between nominations (until the Padam-ic of last year).

This performance is on another level. The best performance at an award show since Lady Gaga at MTV VMAs in 2009. This is definitely 1000/100.

This is heart wrenching. I lost my breath hearing her words. There’s a thunderstorm screaming outside and this is powerful! I’m a very strong woman … I hope I’m strong

omg when she hit the note, my tears....holy shit the power in her voice is insane!

that was INCREDIBLE! mixing orchestral with hip hop and jazz is marvelous, but then when you have her voice at the forefront of it all and the chorus elevating her vocals- it sends chills down your spine because of how powerful and emotional it feels. her lyrics are top tier, her voice is top tier, and she’s such a lovely person- just an amazing artist and performance through and through!

There is a transcendental quality about her singing. You feel every emotion. She is a true empath. What amazing power! Wow!

Truly the best award show performance I've ever seen. The emotion, the transitions between songs, the new music tease, the jazz intro for Escapism AND that last long note?! It is PERFECTION.

When people talk about the difference between a performer and an artist… This is what they mean by an artist. 😭😭😭😭😭

I love that they showed her running to the mic. For some reason I love that. Usually on US tv they would cut that out
