this actually reminds of me a situation in kpop, um a kpop idol Kim Jaejoong who was once apart of the kpop group TVXQ, left the group and sued their company which is SM entertainment, for a contract that was 13yrs long with excessive work schedules and I’m pretty sure he won the case but after he sued the company (in 2009 btw) the company blacklisted him and he’s literally been out of the industry since then because of it And it’s only like last year maybe he came back out and the company fr sent him a congratulatory flower thingy when he opened his own company which is is honestly disgusting after they got him blacklisted for nearly 2decades like-

@jolene77446 ай бұрын
@joco2826 I can't blame them, though. For a lot of them, they think that their only way to success is signing the contract, which is partially true because without a label push, how will their music reach a large audience? Some of these artists want it so badly that they don't care about the repercussions of signing the contract. I will say though that there are a lot of artists who make it without a label, but it's only a select few.
