A bit of a neat piece of trivia; In "The Reveal", when the robotic plant boss is chasing your character, you can get under it when it jumps into the arena. I was first made aware of this in a TAS, but I find it easily do-able without the need of tool assistance. Can even run to where the robot first shows up at, and keep going left/down forever; There's no death plane on the left side of the start, and you can even see the end of the background's various boundaries.

There is a slick move in this game and in "Legends" which you may not know about. When running jump and input down and attack the exact moment you touch the ground. If done correctly your character will do a weird roll attack. It's not useful, but definitely stylish. Edit: I replayed the game and turns out you simply have to attack during the rolling animation. It can be started in a few ways, for example landing when holding downwards or holding downwards after doing the dash attack.

It doesn't at all show its age, if I hadn't played/100% completed this game years ago and was told it was new I would have believed you.
@Rogeryoo3 жыл бұрын
I had never known that this was supposed to be unfinished. Sure there's a bit of jank here and there, but I didn't give it any mind. And I always assumed this game was just built with the story like this, which personally I think it works pretty well.
@dotfoxtom59423 жыл бұрын
@@Rogeryoo Yeah dude, I don't know the whole reason behind it but I think it was some disagreements about what the story should be about? You see yhe *Origins* part of the game was going to show how rayman came to be, in fact if you had watched old ads for the game it talked about that but I think it had something to do with time constraints and disagreements on certain aspects so eventually they just shortly told Raymans origin story in the handbook of the game that came in the case. Its a shame really but I still wouldn't change the game in anyway. The lack of a story that you can follow only adds to the charm I think, feels like a dream you would have with no real continuity which makes sense I suppose seeing as the place is called the glade of dreams and was dreamt up by the bubble dreamer, you know that dude with the long beard that you see at the beginning? So in a way the lack of a real story kinda is the story if you think about it I guess.
