I actually like to think that the pop up mechanic is a way of Mr.Dark messing with you but it's still pretty annoying Also I personally like to think that Mister Dark actually tranformed himself at the final boss fight into the monsters since his health bar still shows his picture

I've been watching your videos for a bit and I gotta say... they're pretty good! They're well-written, informative, and funny. Never before have I both wanted to play Rayman so badly but also be too scared to play Rayman at the same time. I'm dubbing this the "Rayman Phenomenon"

Love your stuff, definitely underrated. ( one suggestion, if you can, try to use your past stop motion skills to add some flair to your videos and make it stand out more)

This game is a blast if you know what’s coming. My first time playing I used the cheat code about 7 times, but after knowing where all of the cages are located and random pop ups are and knowing how the physics work like the slippery floors and raymans movement etc, then playing it a second time it can be a lot of fun. Also did you know they never play tested this game?

Aww, I was hoping for a little throwaway line for Rayman: Redemption. Great video overall, really made me nostalgic for the original, and made me realize just how many quality of life upgrades Redemption made!

I was definitely thinking about mentioning Rayman Redemption, I was just struggling to implement it into the script. I’m planning to go through the entire Rayman series, so Rayman Redemption will probably get it’s own dedicated video eventually.

If you want to try the game, here are some pro tips to make it more manageable. - Don't try to charge up your fist. Instead, always try punching while jumping ; it gives your fist extra range and power, which makes all the harder enemies much easier to handle. -To kill the moustache gunman, you have to hit him in the head while he is lowering his gun. Same goes for the statues in blue mountains. The hitbox is working perfectly, you can think of it as timing precision. -To counter the ice physics in band land, try using the hanging power to break the momentum and keep Rayman in control. Also try not to move when landing on the platform, otherwise you will most likely slip to your death. Hope it helps!

You should play Rayman redemption! It's a good fan remake of rayman 1 with new levels, new boss phases and new bosses. It even added a Mr. Dark boss fight.

Rayman is one of those characters that the world needs... But when Ubisoft prioritized more on Rabbids, Just Dance games, and sexual abusers than him, least there's Redemption. Then again, there's a few ports for this game, but not as many as Rayman 2. Also, no offense on your skills, I never seen someone (close to my age of 23) suck so bad on Rayman, especially with decent ice physics, I mean, c'mon. Even I was 6 years old I could get through Band Land like it's nothing. Don't get me started on the sabre toothed fish.

My issue isn’t with the difficulty itself, if I’m bad, I’m bad. My issue is how the game achieves difficulty which is often through poor level design and cheap kills.

@@ReesetYT I understood the frustrations when I played the PS1 version myself (I grew up with the GBA port which is way easier). Now if you want cheap kills & poor design, then there's Rayman Brain Games (aka: Rayman Junior). Believe me, it makes the vanilla Rayman 1 level design more fair.

@@Mace2.0 I actually picked up Rayman Brain Games recently and I can confirm it has some strange level design for a game meant to teach children. It doesn't matter how well you understand the actual subject matter because the game's obstacles will just kill you regardless.
