I believe that the reason Chidi doesn't want to be alone with Rayne is not because of his religion, but because he was unsure about her as she had already shown him red flags before they met in person. Now that they have met in person she has shown to him that he has every reason to be scared of being alone with her. I am so thankful that he has his sister and brother in law to watch over him and protect him from people like Rayne. And that's why Rayne was set on getting Chidi away from his sister since the beginning. She wants full control over him and the sister is in her way. That is some seriously worrisome predatory behavior.

And, I think that CPS needs to do some serious checking on those kids. She should not be alone with & in control of children, animals, disabled people, elders, even plants-- or ANY other small, &/or vulnerable, dependant, defenseless, helpless beings In my opinion. I agree, as a mother, grandmother and retired counselor for adjudicated juvenile sex offenders. She needs counseling and her children need supervision from the state with mandatory individual cognitive therapy. She latches out like a viper because she feels threatened and rejected. She needs counseling to learn how to process her emotions. To understand the hurt she has carried and her responsibility in her past relationship. My heart is saddened by the thought the effect her behavior has done to her children. He is an adult and knew before she came that she had issues. I hope he learned from this experience.

She's, at least to some degree, a covert narcissist or has many of the behavioral traits associated with that particular personality disorder. It's all in the coping mechanisms. Don't think you really know someone until you observe how they handle not getting their way.
