Raza Murad (bhai) is not just an actor with a thundering voice and great acting skills, but also an intellectual of the highest order. He is proficient in many languages. His insight, foresight and knowledge is extraordinary as well. From the ghazals of Ghalib to the poems of Keats, he is an all-rounder. If you ever speak with him on any issue, you will know the depth of his knowledge, understanding and his innate ability to understand and transcend different cultures, including detailed esoteric norms. I remember speaking with him on several issues in the 1980s and even in 2021, everything that he predicted is coming true. He is a very sound judge of character as well, and will take you to task if you take any liberties with him. There is an old saying, "zauf ke baghair narmi aur tashaddud ke baghair jabr' , in other words he shows politeness without any weakness, and gets compliance without being forceful...a very learned man of an extremely learned dad. The best thing about him is the ease with which he wears his fame, so lightly, so politely and humbly. I have played tongue twister games with him and he surprised us all with his arsenal of tongue-twisters in several languages. Contrary to his screen persona in the reel-life, in real life, Raza bhai is extremely jolly, good natured and friendly. There are very few people I can name who have even a fraction of his abilities and good heartedness!!

Played the formidable drug don in FK’s Jaanbaaz (1986). Was also quite convincing in a good role in Tridev (1989) and yet again a baddie in Mohra (1994) both under Trimurti films’ banner.

Thank you so much for yet another wonderful episode, Tabassumji.. Ppl love Razaji for his brilliant acting and beautiful voice. I remember when I was quite young I happened to watch one of his movies, Lubna (1982) aired on Doordarshan. In that movie, he played the role of a drunkard, a thug and then a faithful husband.. all roles enacted by him so brilliantly.. made me a huge fan of his!

Legendary actor Raza Murad's baritone voice that he has inherited from his legendary father Murad Sahib is really a hallmark of his majestic personality notwithstanding, he is a versatile actor as well who has essayed various kinds of roles including, a lawyer, a doctor, a poet, a zamindar, a Police Officer, an Army Officer and numerous roles of the villain. In his very debut in BR Ishara's Big B-Jaya Bhaduri starrer 'Ek Nazar', Raza Murad played an intelligent lawyer friend of the hero Amitabh Bachchan and defends the latter and gets him acquitted of the murder charge and for this role he also won Shama-Sushma's award of 'the Rising Star of the Year'(1972) against Danny and Dinesh Thakur.
