Ahhhh this refreshes my memory from 2019. The name "Shangrila" was first the name of the resort, which means Heaven, and then people started associating the name with the lake itself. An interesting fact about the Upper Kachura lake is that all the waterways flowing in and out of the lake are underground, unlike most lakes. Also, it's a couple hundred feet deep and honestly very scary. I swam in it and rushed out when my brothers got out because even though the water is crystal clear, it looks black because of its depth. A tip to anyone planning a trip to Skardu: There is a restaurant a few hundred metres before the UKL which serves grilled Trout and it's the best tasting Trout, or any that fish, that you'll ever eat, guaranteed

Skardu me Sooq Valley boht achi jagah hai wahan ka pani boht zabardast hai Main Shangarila to nhi gia Shangarila k bahir sy hi guzar kr Upper Kachura Lake gia tha & جس پل پہ کھڑے ہو کر آپ سین انجوائے کر رہے تھے اس پل سے 10 قدم پہلے بائیں جانب کچے راستے پر پہاڑی چڑھتے جائیں اور ساتھ ساتھ بائیں جانب اوپر کی جانب چڑھتے جائیں کافی اوپر جا کر ایک پانی کا چشمہ گزرتا ہے اس کے ساتھ ہی بائیں طرف چلتے جائیں تھوڑا آگے جا کر وہاں آپ شنگریلا سے تقریباً 800 یا ہزار میٹر بلندی پر ہوتے ہیں وہاں سے دوربین لے کر شنگریلا اور اس کے گرد و نواح کے نظارے کو دیکھنے کا مزہ ہی کچھ اور ہے وہاں سے اترتے ہوئے دائیں طرف ہو کر اترتے آئیں تو وہاں سیبوں کا بہت بڑا باغ ہے سکردو پاکستان کا بہت ہی زبردست علاقہ ہے
