Razer went all in when they released the RAZER Barracuda Pro - Their "Do It All" Gaming headset, which uses 2.4 GHz dongle for your low latency gaming needs but also has Bluetooth connectivity which allows the Barracuda Pro to connect to your mobile phones and other media devices. I have personally used the RAZER Barracuda Pro heavily in both of these scenarios and in this review will tell you if it's still relevant even 6 months later.

question: when gaming with bluetooth headsets on PC, i notice it switches mode to hands free and the audio quality drops big time, in order to use the bluetooth mic at the same time. Does the razer over USB dongle have this same problem?

I love my Arctis Pro Wireless headset, which seems to have all the same features except for noise cancellation. I recently bought a Sony WH-1000XM5, but I'm returning it because it doesn't do well with two different sources (at least mine hasn't). I'm considering this RAZER headset instead, for the noise cancellation, or just staying with my Arctis and being annoyed every so often when someone is being too loud in the house. Just for clarification, you can't listen to both a Bluetooth and 2.4 GHz source at the same time? I ask because I can do this with the Arctis headset without switching anything. Not that I like listening to both at the same time, but it makes a seamless transition when I want to listen to one or the other.

The arctis pros second gen has ANC ( but the nub has been a problem with some people's ears, requiring a pad swap) also your correct, the arctis and its successor both have true simultaneous connection where you get both the Bluetooth and wifi without having to switch, this is a relatively rare feature even in high end gaming headsets.

Did you get the razer headset? I would like to know how the mic quality is compared to the Arctis. Even though the Arctis has an extendable microphone the voice quality was pretty shitty in the review I saw. The voice quality of the Razer's didn't impress me either in this video.

@@lukunil I just stayed with the Arctis Pro. My wife started a preschool in our basement and I thought it was going to be really loud, but I honestly don't have much of an issue with the noise. I'll consider something else if true dual sources are supported.

@@Cyber_Homestead Hey Broski, I use Arctis Nova Pro wireless and it has great noise cancellation and also a good ambient sound if you're expecting a call or someone to knock on your door. 100% recommend

only thing, why didnt you include an aux port so i can use it with an xbox :O everything else is great, low latency dongle, good sound, good noise cancelling, good sound even the microphone is quite okey for a headset

well you have the drivers, that are 50mm in these and 40mm on the X. As well the mic in this one is imbuted, while the x has a detachable mic

Yeh the razer dongle doesn't work anymore and cant get any under 50 odd Aus dollars, if you can find em, tried everywhere, and apparently unavailable everywhere in the world. great product just no support; even they send you to forums to fix. Just FO! Now with SteelSeries, got the Arctis Nova Pro on the way, with 2 dongles and they have promised immediate back up if anything at all fails in the future. Razer can FO cheers. P.S why attaché a low grade shite connecting dongle to a half decent product??? Madness. And the funny thing is if you use the razer blah blah blah repair tool site it asks you to first connect the connecting dongle to your pc, which doesn't farkin work, so nothing connects. Are these morons reading the room lmao
