For anyone who has the headset can you switch from ipad/iphone/android bluetooth to 2.4ghz on pc if the phones/ipad is in a zoom meeting, messenger call etc? Mine won’t switch until I leave the meeting or calls

With the mics I honestly prefer the Pro based on the audio in your test. Yeah, it sounds tinny and compressed but that distortion at the end of your sentences on the X is a dealbreaker for me. That sounds horrible; I would not want to subject someone to that. I'd rather have poor quality sound that good sound with pops and distortion. Listening through high end IEM's so maybe some folks aren't noticing it, but for me it was awful. And on top of that the Barracuda X's sound quality sound horrific. Bloated bass covering all detail. Just pure trash. The Pro sounds totally decent to me, but I don't need the ANC and I've heard a lot of people actually prefer the titanium drivers in the non-pro (not the X) so I went with those. Got them for $50 off Amazon Warehouse, which is nuts.

Sounds like a great purchase for you! But yes, each has their pros and cons. Ultimately, we just couldn't justify the Pro for what it is in comparison to the rest of the audio industry.

Was the non-pro worth it?

@@bluenightingale9393 For $50, absolutely. I got them to use primarily with the PS VR2 and they've been amazing for that use case. Very comfortable, super solid connection, and amazing battery life and thankfully they just fit over the headband comfortably. Great pairing, actually. Wish I'd got the white ones now but saved $10 and got the "Quartz" colorway (pink lol). Hardly the best audio quality in the world but I don't expect a lot from wireless anyway and I have IEM's for listening to music. Nothing stands out as being particularly bad to my ear, though, and every now and then they surprise me with certain sounds having a decent amount of punch and clarity. Wouldn't pay more than $100 but if you can find them cheaper than that (constantly in the $50 - $80 range on Amazon Warehouse and mine seemed indistinguishable from brand new) I'd say they're well worth it.

Does the standard Barracuda (not the X or the Pro) use a detachable boom mic?

Hi, does it sound better than razer kraken v3 Pro wireless. As both are at the same price point.
@Terafied Жыл бұрын
We can’t say for sure but the barracuda pro certainly sounds more like a headphone than a gaming headset in most of our use cases.

That Pro mic was a huge bummer.

It seriously is… sigh…

I bought a pair of these and am planning to use a dedicated mic that I already had on a desk mounted arm. These probably make sense for people with modest mic standards (ie they didn't have anything to begin with) or someone like me who wants the sound upgrade for surround sound gaming but already had the mic to begin with. 👍

5th review I have seen that is negative. Real shame I want a headset I can use for my phone and PC.

It just isn’t great for what it’s supposed to be.
